Review: Christmas at Carluccio’s

Go Festivo for Carluccio’s affordable Christmas set menu, available all day, every day until 4th January, the Menu Festivo is exceptional value at just £16.99 for two courses and £19.99 for three! Truly Italian fare from deli favourites to award-winning panettone alongside a selection of festive tipples to complement the delicious dishes.

It’s not a secret that dining alongside bottomless Prosecco are definitely #TeamCoco necessities in making this season even the more merrier! Our Lifestyle Writer, Helena, spent an evening at the cosy Carluccio’s spot in Ealing for some three-course Christmassy Italian dining and a few cheeky Bellini’s…

For starters we opted for the Antipasti Della Casa a traditionally Italian-style plate with Milano and Ventricina salami, Buffalo mozarella, marinated aubergines, courgettes, peppers and rustic olives along with some freshly prepared focaccia bread.

The Ribeye steak is a refreshing difference from the usual Christmas menu turkey selections, topped with rich truffle butter and served with rosemary & garlic roast potatoes, crispy on the outside yet light and fluffy inside, just how we like it! Also as main selection’s, Prawn Fettuce, Saltimbocco Di Pollo Al Vin Santo (in English chicken wrapped in Parma ham) and Risotto. Which makes for a wide selection for whatever you may fancy.

And we couldn’t come to Carluccio’s without getting into the Italian Christmas spirit and sampling their award-winning Panettone drizzled with Vin Santo syrup and vanilla ice-cream. The Torta Cioccolato additionally sounded delicious but unfortunately was sold out by the time we arrived (that says it all!)

And with a selection of festive tipple and Prosecco based cocktails Carluccio’s really proves to be the perfect spot for a friendly festive celebration, “minimum fuss, maximum flavour.”

The Carluccio’s Festivo Menu is available at every Carluccio’s restaurant throughout the country until 4th January.
