Review: Brunch at Bukowski’s

Last month the newly opened Bukoswki Grill, Soho invited #TeamCoco’s Helena to join them for their new weekend brunch, and of course, we happily obliged!

Bukowski Founder and Head Chef Robin Freeman has conjured up some fantastic dishes accompanied with an array of brunch cocktails: Breakfast margarita, Espresso martini & Darjeeling sour.

The house-made buttermilk waffles can be topped with a fried egg and bacon or with fresh fruit, vanilla cream and syrup or alternatively opt for something a little different and top with a fried chicken thigh, green chilli maple syrup and a fried egg (luckily on the all day menu!) The ideal combination of sweet and sour, the crispy chicken compliments the light and fully waffle perfectly. Officially a #TeamCoco brunch favourite!

The brunch menu also showcases dishes focusing on perfectly poached eggs on either sourdough or organic flour rolls, such as BBQ Benne, with smoked pulled pork and hot hollandaise; Reuben hash pastrami, potatoes, sauer kraut, Swiss cheese & Russian dressing, and baked eggs in a spiced tomato and pepper sauce with yoghurt, seed and sourdough crumb topping and merques sausages. The ultimate showstopper though has to be Chesapeake, with Deep-fried soft shell crab, rocket, poached eggs and hot sauce hollandaise. A few choice sides include Skinny fries, triple cooked beef dripping potatoes & sweet onions and waldorf slaw.

Brunch is served from 8.30am – 3pm on Saturday and 9.30am – 3pm on Sunday.
