Gandys is a revolutionary designer brand using fashion as a force for good cause. People are going wild for the youthful spirit of Gandys and they are now recognised across London as the accessory to be seen in. These flip flops and the ethos behind them are turning heads and showing up on feet everywhere. Gandys success is growing on a global level with Gandys launching in America with top leading Fashion Brands.
Orphaned by the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami while in Sri Lanka with their family, brothers Rob, 26, and Paul, 24, have gone on to build a social enterprise that helps orphans around the globe. They were travelling the world with their parents and four other siblings when the catastrophic natural disaster happened. Determined to turn their tragic experience into something positive they launched Gandys, an award winning social enterprise creating design led flip flops that is leaving its footprint on the fashion world. 10% of all their profits go to the Gandys Foundation, Gandys registered charity which supports children in need of basic essentials such as shelter, nutrition, medication and education. They call this the ‘Orphans for Orphans’ mission which is currently funding children’s homes in India and Sri Lanka.
The success of Gandys as such a fresh company has shown through Independent fashion boutiques stocking Gandys to major top retailers such as Selfridges, Topman, and Liberty’s. This has lead to the support from the likes of Sir Richard Branson who even stocks ‘Necker Red Gandys’ on his Island to celebrities such as One Direction, Jessica Alba, Jamie Oliver who have been seen out wearing their Gandys. With a personal invitation from the Queen the brothers have walked the walk in Buckingham Palace, of course in their trade mark flip flops. Recognised as exceptional young leaders by Her Majesty The Queen, the Brothers metwith Princes William and Harry who all own their own pair of Gandys as well as Kate Middleton.
America is very close to the brother’s hearts as they have both extensively travelled the country in their Gandys and now they have the chance to return to America with the launch of Gandys itself.
Gandys have achieved so much in the last year and have a great line up ahead of them launching Internationally. With the brothers energy and passion for their brand Gandys have a mission to keep growing being able to build on their global social enterprise using fashion for a good cause.
