Here, we find out more…
When did you launch the brand and what was the reason behind it?
We launched Super Amazing in Winter 2012 to bring the focus back to beautifully made, trans-seasonal costume jewellery and accessories that form a part of your fashion wardrobe year in and out.
What’s you background?
I’ve been in the Australian fashion accessory industry (both wholesale and retail) since the late 1980s. I’ve designed ranges for some of Australia’s biggest brands as well as for many boutique retailers.
How many people are involved in your company and what are their roles?
My partner, Ankica Sapun and I founded Super Amazing. There are just the two us involved in daily operations. We outsource the work we don’t have the expertise or time for.
If you could start over with the business, would you do anything differently?
We would have backed ourselves earlier by starting years ago.
What is the hardest challenge you have faced since you started the company?
Finding the best return on investment for our advertising and PR dollars.
2015 is here, where do you plan on taking the brand?
We’ll continue to respond to our customers desires by adding more styles and brands to our offering.
To date, what has been the highlight since launching?
Spotting Super Amazing jewellery out and about is always a thrill for us.
Which city do you feel most at home in? London, Paris or New York?
New York, for such a big city I find everything so very accessible. When you’re in New York you really do start to believe that you can find or achieve just about anything.
Best thing about London to you?
The diversity of the shopping.
If you had to, what piece of clothing from your wardrobe would you wear every day?
Right now? Anything with a stripe…
Best place for a coffee?
Melbourne is the best city for coffee. Literally every suburb has a great café, the fun is in finding it.
The most memorable piece of advice given to you?
Do the work!
Wine. I don’t feel guilty about it.
If you could spend 24 hours anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Milan. I’ll have the Risotto Milanese please.
In the future, how do you plan on expanding the company?
At this stage it’s all about brand awareness for Super Amazing. We’ll keep our minds open to future expansion opportunities as they arise.
