Here at House of Coco we are always hopping on and off flights, ticking off countries and cities from our travel bucket-list and getting immersed in cultures all around the world. However, we really do love a staycation and with the eagerly awaited Bells Apartments now open in Leeds, we have the perfect excuse to spend some time in the fab city of Leeds.

With history tracing back to the 17th Century, the once derelict building has been brought back to life and re-named The Bells in honour of the distinctive sounds of the Leeds Minster, which can be heard ringing across the city.

The building consists of deluxe, serviced apartments; with a variety of one and two bedrooms, all of which boast a generous kitchen and tasteful living space, alongside stylish bathrooms stocked with luxury Molton Brown products.

The brains behind the design of each apartment, Michael Rothwell, used inspiration from his travels around the world to create a one of a kind offering.

From exposed brickwork and iron steel girders, to authentic flooring and handcrafted doors to match a design inspired from his visit to Brazil, no job has been too large in creating this exquisite offering. Even the original stained glass windows have been used at every opportunity and either left in place, relocated as new features, or up-cycled into furniture.

Guests, who choose to do so, can opt for a stay in The Penthouse suite. Named after London’s Big Ben, this exceptional space, offers panoramic views of the city, all the luxury essentials required for a 5* stay, along with a full length balcony overlooking Leeds Minster.

Michael Rothwell who designed the apartments himself and Terry George, one of Leeds biggest entrepreneurs say, “When we saw the space, we knew that we could create something really special. We wanted to combine the feeling of a boutique hotel with the freedom and privacy of apartment living.

Leeds is a city which is constantly changing, and with so many new restaurants, bars and shops opening – we felt the time was right to showcase a brand new offering which provides guests with an experience they’ll never forget.”

To build even further on the prestigious offering, two of the apartments, Great George and Emmanuel, have their very own hot tubs on private balconies.

All of The Bells serviced apartments offer breath taking views, beautiful interiors, high-speed WIFI, along with smart televisions complete with Netflix and Sonos music systems for guests to enjoy during their stay.

Situated just a short walk from Leeds train station and close to popular bars, restaurants and shops in the centre, The Bells is an ideal spot to stay for the night, tucked nicely away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

Rothwell and George concluded “we wanted to create a space that appealed to an array of audiences, all looking for something unique but luxurious, from corporates working away from home and wanting to avoid the standard hotel room, to a couple enjoying a romantic weekend away and a group of friends enjoying a night out in Leeds.

We’re confident that guests will be blown away by the beauty of The Bells, and that this will encourage them to spread the word and continue to return each time they visit the city.”
