A Chanel box alone is enough to woo most of us but when it encloses the classic rectangle cut bottle of Coco Mademoiselle, its a sure winner. Due to its success the fragrance has had an EDP version and now an EDP Intense version created, however the original is best. Created by Jacques Polge, this oriental fragrance has hints of Orange, Jasmine, Rose and Vetiver; making it a bold womanly scent that is both seductive and fresh. At the moment it’s also available with an embossed red Chanel gift box, so even if you’ve left it extremely late you don’t need to worry about wrapping.

Of course if Chanel is here, Dior is too, these two powerhouses know what they’re doing when it comes to fragrances and their classics are unlike no other. If the Charlize Theron adverts don’t win you over or the shapely bottle adorned with a jewel around it, then the fragrance definitely will. Created by Calice Becker in 1999 but no longer available in the original formulation, the fragrance was reinvented as J’adore Eau de Parfum by François Demachy and has become a global bestseller. The scent is sensual and fruity; Ylang-Ylang, Damascus Rose and Jasmine envelope Orange Blossom making this a modern yet feminine scent.

Prada entered the fragrance industry in 2003 and now La Femme is one of the brands most iconic scents. Created by Daniela Andrier, the Frangipani accord is complimented with Vanilla and contrasted with Tuberose and Vetiver. The fragrance is an oriental with an ode to natural beauty and femininity. It oozes sophistication, which is so very Prada but also has a hint of softness that this scent experiment has paid off for the powerhouse; a classic and a true Prada fragrance.

A Chloe Christmas gift is a romantic one; the Maison’s signature fragrance is fresh yet elegant. This floral scent is a combination of floral powder notes with hints of Peony and Lychee making the fragrance feminist along with Amber and Cedarwood to give an undeniably sexy edge. Presented in pastel packaging and the distinctive Chloe bottle and hand adorned bow this is the perfect gift.

Givenchy and his relationship with Audrey Hepburn is a famous one, as his muse, Hubert Givenchy created a fragrance for Hepburn which at first was purely for her, his muse. When Givenchy mentioned making the fragrance for others, Audrey replied with ‘l’interdit’ which translates to ‘ I forbid it’ and hence the fragrance, L’Interdit was born. This November, Givenchy re-launched the fragrance and it does not disappoint; a white floral fragrance of Jasmine and Tuberose with dark notes of Vetiver and Patchouli are a tribute to bold femininity.
