December is such an exciting time of year for festivities, dining out, clubbing with the girls, and generally having an entire month of partying, so we are obviously going to include an appointment to have our nails manicured, possibly a little sparkly pedicure too, a healthy spray tan, and we may even treat ourselves to a relaxing massage before the mayhem seriously begins.
With all this in mind #TeamCoco were thrilled to be invited to experience the brand new Q61 Salon which opened just a month ago in the gorgeous North Yorkshire town of Harrogate.
We sent one of our beauty gurus along to enjoy, relax and review Q61 salon treatments, and marvel in the extensive colour runway.
This is without doubt the biggest salon we have ever been inside; the layout is vast, open and very relaxed. The music has a chilled house vibe, which makes the salon feel like an exclusive club for private members.
The colour runway is a serious collection of O.P.I polishes of every colour imaginable, and they even have a seasonal collection filled with sparkle and gold hues, and a stunning selection of glitters. This is an absolute dream for Christmas!
We opted for a luxury pedicure, which took place on the raised seating on the ground floor at the salon, with a personal mini-sofa style seat, deep filled foot spa, and plenty of delicious O.P.I softening, soothing and moisturising products for the feet.
There is a wall of seriously high-end hard backed fashion books to read, so of course we delved straight into the Louis Vuitton catwalk fashion book.
The luxury pedicure took around an hour from start to finish and included a foot massage, callous removal, soak, and warm boots for softening. It ended with a gorgeous polish from the colour runway opposite.
We ventured upstairs to the first floor treatment rooms, one half for the noisier treatments like waxing and spray tans, and the other for the more relaxing treatments such as massage and facials. We entered one of the massage rooms, with a comfy bed, ambient music and lots of lovely warm throws and towels.
Our massage was the infamous Signature Q61 Deep Tissue Massage, which was medium pressure and full relaxation. Our therapist made sure that everything was perfect from start to finish. The massage itself covered the back, shoulders and neck and lasted for approximately 30 minutes, and we absolutely did not want it to end.
So, for all your Christmas and New Year beauty treatments we would highly recommend visiting Harrogate’s newest salon Q61, we feel it’s one of the best in the town. The staff are second-to-none in making sure that your every need is taken care of, the salon is welcoming and warm, and best of all, the treatments are beyond excellent.
