The city of Denver, Colorado, probably enters your thoughts when looking at NFL betting odds, but this city is much more than the host of the Broncos. Denver has become one of the best travel destinations in the United States, and the city has embraced this new title.

Most people tend to take trips during the summer months, but there is actually a better time to travel. The fall is a perfect time to get out and enjoy parts of the United States, and Denver is one of those cities.

The Northeast portion of the U.S. is another great spot to travel to during the fall, but Denver just has more to offer. Next time that you start to look at fall travel destinations, you need to put Denver at the top of the list.

After you have visited Denver once during the fall, you will be going back year after year to experience the Mile High City.

Perfect Weather

The first thing that you should look for when planning a Fall trip is the weather, and it doesn’t get much better than in Denver. You will experience a true Fall climate in the city with cool mornings and nights and comfortable temperatures during the day.

There really isn’t a bad time to visit Denver when it comes to weather, as it’s typically pretty mild at all times. Along with the weather, you could also see some snow up in the Rocky Mountains, but you won’t have to feel is snowing on you until the temperature really starts to drop.

Beer Lovers Paradise

If you are someone that enjoys beer, then Denver is a city that you simply have to visit. The Great American Beer Festival is held annually in Denver, and timing your trip around this event is an absolute must.

There are over 500 different breweries that show up at the Great American Beer Festival, and you could try out close to 2,000 different beers on site. Of course, music and food is included at this event, and it’s become a huge tourist attraction for the city.

A True Oktoberfest

Along with the Great American Beer Festival, Denver also hosts an annual Oktoberfest celebration. This type of celebration can be found throughout the country in many small cities, but it’s done on a much larger scale in Denver.

This yearly tradition actually started all the way back in 1969, and it just continues to get bigger and bigger each year. The Oktoberfest in Denver, Colorado, is about as close to the German celebration that you are going to find in the United States.

Sports Lovers Dream

Denver is home to a professional sports team in all four of the biggest sports, and all of them are in action during the fall. If you want to see some exciting teams play, then you could easily catch a game or two out in Colorado.

Coors Field, home of the Rockies, is one of the most underrated ballparks in MLB, and the views from that park are terrific. The Denver Broncos have a massive following, and spending a day watching the Broncos play is another must-see.

If you arrive in Denver after the Avalanche and Nuggets have started their seasons, then they are two teams that are worth watching as well.

Amazing Views

It doesn’t matter if you are driving or flying into Denver. The first thing you are going to notice is the Rocky Mountains. The Rockies can be seen from anywhere in the city, but businesses make a concerted effort to create some unbelievable viewing sports.

Denver is also one of those large cities that still feels small, and you can find parts of the city that will make you feel like you are in the woods. Once the leaves start to change colors on the trees, then you will start to feel like you are staring at a beautiful painting.

If you want to view the city from an aerial perspective, then there are some great spots up in the Rocky Mountains to look down on the Mile High City.

The leaves are changing colors, and the air is getting crisp—there’s no denying that fall is in the air. And while the season may conjure images of pumpkin spice lattes and cozy fireside chats, it’s also the perfect time to scour NFL odds during this season, along with hitting the open road as you explore. Perhaps even to an NFL game, you had looked up odds on? Don’t forget to consider these tips for traveling this fall season as you plan your autumn adventures.

Whether you’re planning a leaf-peeping road trip or packing your bags for a weekend getaway, there are a few things you should keep in mind to make the most of your trip.

Here are fall travel tips to help you plan the perfect getaway.

Plan Your Trip in Advance

One of the best tips for fall travel is to plan your trip. Planning allows you to take advantage of early bird travel deals and avoid the last-minute rush. Begin by deciding your destination and travel dates, then start researching flights, hotels, and activities.

Choose the Right Destination

When choosing a destination for your fall getaway, be sure to consider the weather. While some parts of the country are still basking in the summer heat, others are already experiencing cooler temperatures and even some snow.

If you want to enjoy autumn activities like apple picking and leaf peeping, head to a destination known for its vibrant fall foliage.

Consider the Weather

As you plan your trip and choose your destination, don’t forget to consider the weather. If you’re traveling in October or November, be aware that temperatures can dip, so pack. Many parts of the country also see an increase in rainfall during these months, so pack your rain gear.

Tips For Traveling This Fall Season

Pack the Right Clothing

Once you know where you’re going and what the weather will be like, it’s time to start packing. Be sure to pack clothing layered, as the temperatures can fluctuate throughout the day. A light jacket or sweater and comfortable walking shoes are also good.

If you’re traveling in a colder climate, don’t forget to pack a warm coat, hat, and scarf.

Bring the Necessary Documents

Before you head out on your trip, be sure to gather all the necessary documents. You’ll need your driver’s license or ID if you’re traveling. If you’re traveling, you’ll need a passport. Check if your destination requires any other special documentation, such as a visa.

Book Your Travel Accommodations

Once you have your destination, travel dates, and list of activities, it’s time to start booking your travel accommodations. Book your flights in advance to get the best deals if you’re flying. You can choose from various lodging options, including hotels, Airbnbs, or hostels. There’s also the option of long-term stay hotels since they offer discounted rates (cheaper than regular hotels or apartments) and are well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. If you plan to travel to Oklahoma, go online to book any of the long term stay hotels in Oklahoma and you’re all set.

Choose the Right Mode of Transportation

When it comes to getting around during your trip, you’ll need to choose the right mode of transportation. If you’re staying in one location, you may be able to get by walking or taking public transportation. Traveling to many destinations, you may want to rent a car.

Compare rates and choose the best option for your budget and needs.

Experience the Local Culture

No matter where you’re traveling, experience the local culture. From attending a local festival to taking a tour of a historic site, there are plenty of ways to immerse yourself in the culture of your destination.

Bring Your Camera

Fall is one of the most photogenic times of the year, so be sure to bring your camera along on your trip. Whether you’re snapping pictures of the changing leaves or taking selfies in front of a pumpkin patch, you’re sure to capture some great memories.

Enjoy the Food

Fall is the perfect time to indulge in all your favorite comfort foods. From pumpkin pie to apple cider, there are plenty of delicious treats to enjoy. And if you’re traveling to a different country, be sure to try the local cuisine.

Go Sightseeing

Fall is the perfect time to enjoy the great outdoors. Whether taking a hike through the mountains or strolling through a city park, there are plenty of beautiful sights to see. And if you’re traveling to a new place, go sightseeing and explore all the local attractions.

Have a Backup Plan

No matter how well you plan your trip, there’s always a chance something can go wrong. That’s why it’s important to have a backup plan. Be sure to list alternate activities in case your original plans fall through. And, most, don’t forget to relax and enjoy your trip.

Verdict

These are a few ideas for traveling in the fall. There are also so many great things to do this time of the year. Get out there and explore all that fall has to offer with these helpful tips for traveling this fall season.

We understand that sports could be extremely important for you, we also know that as a fan NFL odds are part of your daily activities. However, we guess, you should also be taking some time to look at booking a trip. There are some great travel destinations around the world, but one of the best islands to visit is Jamaica.

Jamaica is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and you are also going to experience some great weather regardless of when you go. You will want to try and avoid hurricane season, but there never is really a bad time to visit the island.

You are also going to be greeted by some incredibly nice people, and they work hard to provide you with a great experience on your trip. There are so many great things to do in Jamaica, and you can really go in any direction that you want to go.

Prepare to be Blown Away

As mentioned above, you want to miss out on Hurricane season in Jamaica, but you are still going to be blown away in one aspect. The Jamaican people like their food extremely spicy, and you are going to be served dishes that come with jerk sauce or seasoning.

Jamaica is known for its food, and the people in the country know how to use spices to make the food taste better. Even if you aren’t someone that typically enjoys spicy food, you will need to try this out to see just how good it really is.

There are some great food tours available on the island of Jamaica, and visiting any of the big cities will give you a great chance to explore some of the best dishes available.

Sports Are Secondary

Since Jamaica is out in the middle of the ocean, this isn’t a country that is really attached to the sports scene in the United States. Finding a local to discuss Vegas NFL odds with you probably won’t happen, but it’s going to be a chance to learn about other sports that you maybe do not know that much.

Soccer is a sport that is enjoyed in Jamaica, and you will definitely hear some tales about the Jamaican bobsled team on your journey. Don’t plan a trip to Jamaica if you can’t handle missing out on some big sports action, but there are going to be so many other things to do that sports shouldn’t be on your mind.

Marley is the Man

Bob Marley is easily the most famous person from the island of Jamaica, and his life and legacy are celebrated by the people to this day. Marley’s music can be heard wherever you go on the island, and there is also a chance to visit where he grew up.

The Bob Marley Museum is open for tours, and you can take a visit and learn more about one of the most influential musicians of all time. This continues to be one of the top tourist attractions in Jamaica, and it’s one that you will want to check out on your trip.

Plenty of Beaches

Of course, one of the best reasons to visit Jamaica is to take a trip to the beach, and there are some great ones there. White sandy beaches can be found throughout the entire country, and the water is clear for miles.

Montego Bay and Negril are two of the best places to visit if you want to take a trip to the beaches in Jamaica. If you are able to stay at a resort, then most of the beaches will come equipped with a butler or concierge to bring you drinks right to the beach.

Bring Your Golf Clubs

If you want to find a place to look at NFL lines, it would be a bit difficult. However, finding a golf course is totally the opposite. Even though this country is not one that focuses a ton on sports, it is an island with some unbelievable golf courses.

If you see a list of the top tourist attractions in Jamaica, then you are going to find a couple of different golf courses listed. It would be a great idea to bring your golf clubs with you to Jamaica to explore some awesome courses.

The French Alps have been renowned as a skiing destination for decades but the destination is equally desirable outside of the winter season. I visited Serre Chevalier Vallée Briançon recently for a digital detox and discover the healthy benefits of visiting this region. What often confuses people is there isn’t an actual town of Serre Chevalier, the area is made up of Briançon and a series of connecting towns. I stayed at the commune of Le Monêtier-Les-Bains noted for its dramatic alpine skyline, visible glaciers and unspoilt greenery.

For a tiny village, there is surprisingly plenty of activities to enjoy. The region has been renowned for the healing powers of its hot springs since the 4th century AD. You can soothe those aching muscles too at the stupendous Grands Bains du Monêtier. Their outdoor pool has panoramic views of Serre Chevalier Vallée. The water is naturally hot and comes out of the source at 44°C. They have jacuzzis, hammams, aqua beds and every -iums imaginable like a frigidarium. If you want a more exclusive experience, make sure you book for the Romano-Irish baths. And for the gentleman, make sure you bring swimming speedos as swimming shorts are not allowed.

Nearby is the starting point for a whitewater rafting experience with Jour de raft. This is the kind of thrilling, adrenaline-pumping experience that is suitable whether you are 8 or 80. The key is having qualified guides who can help you navigate the trickier parts of the wild and unspoilt rivers. It is the best way to admire the scenic surroundings, breathe in the alpine air and feel the crystal clear water melting from the glaciers.

Another way to appreciate the great outdoors is a fauna and flora, yoga and meditation excursion with Rando Zen. Rachel is a knowledgeable local who knows every nook and cranny of this ecosystem. She can explain to you which plants and fruits are edible and beneficial and which ones to avoid whilst taking you to remote destinations to achieve some “me time”. There is no better place to practise meditation and yoga than in the natural surroundings of Serre Chevalier.

There are also plenty of activities that are cost-free such as a picturesque hike to the likes of Lac de l’Oule. You might be thousands of metres above sea level, but they have hikes for all abilities even if you have acrophobia as they also offer gentler trails. The area was also famously featured recently in Stage 12 of the Tour de France, which is unsurprising given how popular cycling is in the region.

With countless calorie-sapping adventures, you might be wondering where can you find some hearty sustenance. You’ll be surprised at how many hearty options there are in the little village of Le Monêtier-Les-Bains. Fine dining lovers should make a beeline for restaurant le 16âme. The word bistronomy perfectly encapsulates what they offer: haute cuisine offered in a relaxed bistro-style environment. Think foie gras with rhubarb confit and strawberry in a Scandi-style minimalist restaurant. Chef Julien Momon trained with the likes of 3-Michelin starred Christophe Bacquié so you are getting refined dining without the exorbitant prices. Everything is sourced ultra-locally, so their duck is from Ferme des Guibertes in Monêtier Les Bain. Free-range eggs are from his father’s farm in La Salle Les Alpes.

If you are looking for quirkier options, then Le Stabatio at Le Monêtier hôtel is the place to be. It’s one of the few places that doesn’t focus solely on classic French cuisine, so you get the likes of deconstructed tuna and wakame sushi and veal gyros with chickpeas, white sauce and harissa. You might be high up in the Alps, but it doesn’t mean you can’t sample top-quality seafood. At the restaurant La Table du Cairn, they adore their seafood dishes. Salmon gravadlax is as fresh as you would expect from a seafood restaurant on the coastline and you can try a more unusual offering in the shape of tuna ravioli.

Finally, no trip to this region is complete without visiting the old town of Briançon, a charming UNESCO World Heritage city fortified by Vauban. The picturesque old town with multi-coloured facades is a well and truly hidden gem in France. The charming, narrow cobbled streets, the quaint Place d’Armes square along with the fountains and sundials and the scenic backdrop gives the town that ethereal quality like it belongs to another era.

Amidst the chaos of the world, nothing beats a relaxing spa staycation, especially with your four-legged best pal in tow. The Mallory Court Spa & Hotel is a beautiful Relais & Chateaux property in the heart of Leamington Spa. It is the epitome of a quintessential English country house and hotel, and mighty dog friendly too.

From the outside looking in, Mallory Court’s picturesque Grand Lutyens-style facade looks like it could be lifted from a John Constable painting. This award-winning hotel has four Red Stars from the AA, and a 3 AA Rosette award for its restaurant, and it certainly shows.

Inside, the hotel offers 43 elegantly decorated bedrooms that are as cosy as they are luxurious. The same tasteful restraint is expressed throughout the hotel’s spaces which are warm, inviting and evoke a sense of calm. There is a fabulous sitting room at the end of the main house and a garden Room, which is ideal for private lunches or dinners. The terrace is gorgeous and a perfect spot for afternoon tea or a glass of rosé.

We stayed in the dog-friendly Upton Suite, which overlooks the walled gardens. The spacious suite has a separate ensuite WC and bath, and was complete with a dog bed, bowl and treats for TeamCocopup Charlie.

The hotel is surrounded by 10 acres of perfectly manicured grounds. These is a beautiful rose garden, a croquet lawn, a flower garden and an orchard, which are great for idyllic walks with your pooch or for some mindful meditation.

There is plenty of space for energetic dogs like Charlie to run around, and plenty of beautiful scenery to feast your eyes on. Mallory Court grows much of its own herbs on-site, which adds authenticity and a true farm-to-table appeal to its award-winning restaurant.

Dining at the main restaurant is a splendid affair that brings elegance back to fine dining. Start with some aperitifs at the lobby, before indulging in the five-course tasting menu carefully crafted by Head Chef Simon Haigh and his brigade.

Using only the very best of locally sourced food on offer, and seasonal greens from the garden, Simon and team succeed in creating a menu that celebrates the richness and panache of British cooking.

We especially liked the heritage tomato salad, which was refreshing and grown just a few metres away from the restaurant, and the roast beef, which was rich, tender and delicious. Paired with an excellent bottle of pinot noir, you’d be hard done to find a better meal this side of Warwickshire.

No visit to the Mallory Court would be complete without a visit to the Elan Spa, which is everything you expect it to be and more. Hotel guests can also pre-book 1-hour pool access complimentary with any 55-minute treatment.

The spa, which is a sight to behold, has an indoor heated pool and outdoor jacuzzi. Outside there is a full tennis court, while inside there is a fully equipped gym and salon too. Inside, the spa is kept at a pleasantly warm temperature and is complete with sauna and steam room.

We tried the Rasul treatment, which combines the myriad health benefits of a steam or sauna, with the skin-enriching glow of a mud mask. The 20 minute self-treatment starts with a sugar scrub, followed by rounds of steam, mud, and some chromatherapy too. After 20 minutes of mud, steam, and pure relaxation – we left feeling lighter than air.

We also indulged in a quick 25 minute massage at the Elan Spa. The Spa uses luxury Elemis products, and is staffed by expertly trained therapists that will soothe your stresses and leave you feeling blissfully relaxed.

Amidst all the wonders of Mallory Court, what truly impressed us was the excellence and dedication of the staff. The service was first-class from check-in to check-out and everything in between. Led by General Manager Nick Hanson, who made sure our stay was five-star, the staff at Mallory Court were clearly a family and made us feel like family too. It is no wonder it is so highly regarded by all who visit. We, for sure, shall be returning.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of summer? If it’s one of those warm-weather moments, then a beach. And what do you need to get ready for such an occasion? Like most people, you have many beach accessories that you must pack.

Must-Have Beach Accessories

  • Sunglasses

Sunglasses are one of the beach accessories when going to the beach. Keep those eyes protected from harmful UV rays while enjoying your day at the beach! Sunglasses can help block out the sun’s rays and prevent eye damage from overexposure to sunlight. Sunnies come in all shapes, sizes, and colors, so there is something for everyone.

  • Headband

If you’re going to be out at the beach, you need a headband. Headbands are important because they keep your hair out of your face and help keep you cool. You can find headbands in every color and style imaginable. You can get them with elastic bands or Velcro closures. Try getting one with a colorful print if you want to add color to your beachwear.

  • Sun Hat

A sun hat is a must for summer. It protects your face and neck from the sun and helps you stay cool. The best ones to buy are those with wide brims. They can be folded into a small pouch or bag.

  • Cover-up

Bring a beach cover-up with you if you plan to spend an entire day relaxing at the beach. They come in all different styles and colors, so there’s no need to worry about finding something that matches your style.

Plan on wearing a beach cover-up for at least part of the day if you plan to spend an entire day relaxing at the beach. Alternatively, you can alternate between bikini only and your beach cover-up every couple of hours after spending some time in the sun.

Sun protection is only one reason for wearing a beach cover-up.You should wear a cover-up when walking from and to the beach, especially in common areas like the lobby or a bar. Most resort pools require a bit of walking, so a beach cover-up will keep you comfortable if you don’t enjoy walking around in just a bikini.

  • A Pair Of Cute Sandals

Whether walking on the boardwalk or lounging on the sand, you’ll need a good pair of sandals to keep your feet comfortable. Look for a style that’s both cute and practical.

  • Sunscreen

You don’t want to miss out on the sun because of your tan, so make sure you use sunscreen daily. The best type of sunscreen provides broad spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays.

Summary

Now that you understand what accessories are necessary for a complete beach outfit, you can start planning your looks for the upcoming season. With a few key pieces, you can create a variety of beach-ready outfits that will have you looking and feeling your best. So, grab your sunscreen and your favorite beach bag, and get ready for a summer of fun in the sun

The Luxe-Pods

If you’re looking for a romantic retreat then the Luxe-Pods are for you, cosy, intimate, yet beautifully designed with a wood burning stove, floating bed, hot tub on the deck, walk in shower and an open plan, fully equipped kitchen – these pods offer luxury, charm and escapism.

The Luxe-Lodges

The Luxe-Lodges are the newest addition to Cynefin and each offer two spacious bedrooms making them perfect for friends, families, or if you’re just after a little more space.

In the lodges you’ll find a super king bed (and a twin bed in the second bedroom), a private decking with hot tub, BBQ grill and fire pit, standalone bath tub and separate shower.

These beautiful timber clad lodges nestle seamlessly into their lush surroundings, offering a tranquil retreat.

Exploring the local area

We recommend spending half a day browsing the stunning market town of Hay-On-Wye, less than a 10 minute drive from Cynefin Retreats. Dubbed the book town of the UK, Hay-on-Wye houses over 30 bookstores! Stop off for some lunch at eclectic ‘The Old Electric Shop‘ for some delicious Vegetarian food!
