There are a lot of questions you need to ask yourself before starting to gamble at a no deposit bonus casino Canada. What are your goals? What is your bankroll? What casino games do you want to play? How much time can you afford to spend gambling each week or day?

Do you have an addiction history? These are all crucial factors that must be considered before diving in head first. If you’re unsure where to start, don’t worry; we’ll discuss these topics in this blog post! So, could you sit back, relax, and get started?

What Is Your Reason for Gambling – To Have Fun or Make Money?

There are many reasons why people gamble. Some people do it for the thrill and excitement, while others do it in hopes of winning big money. Whatever the reason, gambling can be a risky activity that can lead to financial problems if not done in moderation.

If you’re thinking of gambling, you must ask yourself why you’re doing it. Are you doing it for fun, or are you doing it to make money? If you’re gambling with the latter in mind, you must be extra careful. Gambling can be very risky, and there’s no guarantee you’ll win. The odds are usually stacked against you. So, if you’re gambling with the hope of making money, you need to be prepared to lose.

Gambling can be fun if done in moderation and if you’re aware of the risks involved. But if you’re gambling solely to make money, you need to be extra careful. So, if you’re thinking of gambling using some gambling apps, ask yourself first why you’re doing it and if you can afford to lose the money you’re gambling with.

Can You Afford to Gamble, and Are You Willing to Risk Losing That Money?

Casinos, online or offline, are businesses. They exist to make a profit off of the people who patronize them. That profit comes from the house edge, which is the difference between the true odds of a casino game and the odds that the casino pays out.

For example, in roulette, the odds of hitting a specific number are 37 to 1. That means if you bet $1 on every number, you would expect to lose $36 over the long run and break even on your 37th bet. But casinos don’t pay out at true odds. Instead, they pay out at lower odds, which gives them a house edge.

So, if you’re willing to play the best payout online casinos and are okay with the possibility of losing money, then casinos are a good option for you. Learn the information about the dark side of the game you want to try. Just be sure to set a budget and stick to it so that you don’t spend more than you can afford to lose.

How Much Time Are You Willing to Spend Gambling Each Day/Week/Month Etc.?

There’s no right or wrong answer to this question – it all depends on your circumstances and how much time you’re willing to commit to gambling. Some people may only be able to spare a few minutes each day, while others may have a few hours to dedicate to gambling each week.

How much time you’re willing to spend gambling is also likely to change. For example, you may start only gambling for an hour or two each week, but as you become more experienced and confident, you may find yourself gambling for more extended periods.

Whatever your situation, it’s essential to set some limits on how much time you’re willing to spend gambling. This will help you to stay in control of your gambling and avoid spending too much time and real money on it.

If you’re finding that you’re gambling more often than you’d like or for more extended periods than you’d like, it’s a good idea to seek help from a gambling support service. They can provide you with advice and assistance on how to cut back on your gambling.

Are There Other Activities You Would Instead Do With Your Free Time Than Gambling?

There are other activities that one would rather have some free time instead of gambling. For example, some people much rather spend time with their family and friends. They can also enjoy playing sports and going to the beach, so those would be two other activities that one can choose over gambling. Additionally, you can enjoy many hobbies that don’t involve gambling, such as:

  • Reading
  • Writing
  • Hiking
  • Biking and more

So, gambling is not the only thing to do while having free time. There are plenty of other options that one can much rather take part in.

But if you prefer gambling to other activities, try to play casinos safely and responsibly. Know your limits, stick to a budget, and never chase your losses. Gambling can be fun and exciting, but it’s important to gamble responsibly.

Conclusion

By taking the time to answer these questions, you can better assess your motivations and readiness for gambling. And by asking yourself these questions before starting to gamble, you’ll be better equipped to handle whatever comes your way while playing. If you still feel confident in your decision after answering them honestly, remember to play casinos responsibly and have fun.

Gambles don’t always pay off, but knowing what type of casino player you are and how much money you’re comfortable risking will help minimize losses if things don’t go your way.

Going to a casino for a fun night of playing blackjack is the favourite weekend pastime of many players – but if you want to be respected as a professional, you also need to look the part. When you enter any casino, you can immediately tell the pros from the beginners just by the way they are dressed. What’s the best outfit to wear to look like a pro when playing blackjack?

Casino fashion – is it a thing?

Ever since casinos were first created, professional players wanted to distinguish themselves from the rest of the newbies, creating an aura of respect that tells everyone around you that you mean business. The first casinos were mostly hosted at players’ houses, but even then how you look was an important factor of every game – especially if you wanted to enter high-stake games, for which you needed a certain renown.

Since early-day casinos were visited by a wide range of folk, including high-class businessmen and low-class labourers, your outfit was the main indicator to which group you belonged. If you saw a player wearing an elegant outfit and smoking a cigar, you could immediately tell that they weren’t interested in low-stake games with the rest of the workers who came to the casino after work to unwind and blow some money.

Modern outfits for Blackjack players

Casinos have changed a lot since they were first introduced – nowadays, when you think of a casino, you see a Las Vegas establishment with plenty of slot machines, professional tables, and sleek-clothed dealers. In such places, the classic look of a sophisticated ruffian probably won’t pass, and many higher-class casinos even have their own dress codes.

Monochrome outfits are considered a great fit for professional players visiting a casino to play blackjack. A sleek tuxedo can immediately distinguish you from the regular players – pros don’t usually come to the casino wearing khaki cargo pants and a flannel shirt. Dressing to look like James Bond works great, but don’t overdo it, or you’ll be risking being laughed at.

If you want to train blackjack before going to a real casino, you can check your skills here.

This winter is going to be tough on a lot of people’s wallets, and if you’ve been thinking of buying a wood stove for a while, now could be the perfect time to do so. Wood stoves could help you save a lot of money on heating, and since it is the most energy-consuming utility in most homes, you could make significant overall savings as a result. A wood stove can also instantly elevate the look of the home. Let’s take a look at some of the reasons why you should consider investing in a wood stove this winter.

Curb High Energy Costs

Fuel prices are at an all-time high right now and buying a wood stove could save you loads of money this winter. You will be able to recoup your investment very fast too. You could get a wood stove for around £900 – £1,500 with installation, and your savings in just one year could easily exceed that. So, if you are worried about the rising cost of fuel now and in the future, getting a wood stove is the way to go.

Increase the Value of Your Home

A wood stove can also make your house look more attractive to buyers and increase its perceived value. One study found that a wood burner could add as much as 5% to your property value, and this will vary depending on the type of house and where you are in the country.

You do have to make sure that you maintain the wood stove properly, however. One thing you should consider doing is getting some kiln dried logs for firewood instead of regular logs. These will burn much cleaner and won’t cause soot to build up on the glass and the interior, keeping your woodstove looking as good as new. If you’re looking for a great source for kiln dried logs, you can check out this store.

Great Aesthetic Appeal

A nice wood stove will make the perfect addition to any room. They are not only made for older houses either. You’ll find wood stoves with a contemporary look that will look great in modern homes too. A nice wood stove will work as a great focal point and will add style and character to your living space. It will provide you with a beautiful source of natural light in the late evenings as well.

Wood stoves make the house feel cosy and provide a homely ambiance that will make you want to stay inside more this winter. This makes them perfect for small families or couples who’d like to stay snug during the cold months or any homeowner who’s ready to put a premium on comfort.

Buying a wood stove could be a great investment and you should consider it if you rely heavily on heating during the winter. Consider looking at different wood stove models today and don’t hesitate to speak with a few retailers to learn more about their benefits.

Only this year, did I start to dye my hair to cover my pesky white/grey hairs. I am thankful that at this point, they are thankfully sporadic!

Not thrilled with harsh chemicals in hair dye products, through the “magic” of Instagram algorithm and my fellow writer, Wendy Sy based in New York, I was introduced to Arey.

The duo behind the brand is Allison Conrad and Jay Small. Allison is a Stanford MBA grad and serial entrepreneur focused on e-commerce brands in the wellness space. With over 20 years experience in the beauty/wellness space as a hairstylist, Jay has worked in education and product development for Paul Mitchell Systems.

Hear more about Arey in their own words:

What’s in a name?

Arey is derived from the French word arrêt, meaning “stop”. After playing with different iterations we landed on Arey as it nicely rhymes with grey!

What prompted you to start Arey?

When Allison saw her first grey hair, the first thing she did was ask Jay, her trusted hairstylist of many years, what to do. At the time the only way to address grey hair was with hair dye, which led Allison to question why there wasn’t a proactive solution. She was using wrinkle cream and SPF to prevent wrinkles, but there were no options for maintaining healthy, youthful hair. Enter Arey.

This led us to research the causes of grey hair, and we discovered a study that identified there is only one gene (IRF4) that causes it. With genetics only accounting for 30% of why we go grey, this means a large portion is left to diet and lifestyle choices. This inspired us to research ingredients that could offer a preventative solution to grey hair by supplying the body with what it needs to grow healthier, youthful hair and maintain pigment. Soon after the idea for Arey was born, we filed a trademark for the slogan “The Wrinkle Cream of Haircare”.

Why was tackling the issue of aging hair from both an external and internal lens important?

As we researched the causes of grey we found that much was linked to diet and lifestyle, and there are 2 key areas: vitamin & mineral deficiencies and oxidative stress. Understanding the link between premature grey and nutrient deficiencies is what informed the formula for our daily supplement Not Today, Grey. Each ingredient in our supplement plays a role in cellular activity, including promoting cell turnover and improving the protein structure of hair. Oxidative stress results in free radicals that are located all over our bodies. When these build up over time they can stifle cell productivity and can lead to grey hair. This is why we include antioxidants such as Fo-Ti and sesame seed to help reduce oxidative stress in the hair bulb.

As we learned more, we were fascinated to learn about peptides and their applications within skincare. This led to the creation of our topical serum To The Root. We created this oil-free, scent-free topical serum to be applied directly to the scalp in order to target areas with initial signs of grey hair, similar to an eye cream. To The Root’s patent pending formula uses antioxidants and a clinically effective peptide to create a healthy environment near the hair follicle and help with re-pigmentation by stimulating the MC1-R (Melanocortin 1 Receptor). Our best-selling product The System combines Not Today, Grey and To The Root as the ultimate inside-out and outside-in method for delaying grey [hairs] and preserving pigment.

We now offer a suite of topical products including our patent-pending Wash shampoo, to allow customers to choose the right regimen that fits in with their habits and lifestyle. For decades, skincare has been built around a multi-step regimen and we think it’s just as important to have a hair care regimen.

Who would most benefit from using Arey?

Arey is designed to be used at the first signs of grey hair. We believe a proactive approach that preserves healthy hair is the best way to prevent signs of hair aging. Grey hair happens at all ages, therefore we measure grey in percentages, with 0-30% being the ideal range for [the] best results when using our products. Most users can expect to see a healthier scalp within the first month; fuller, smoother and more vibrant hair in months 2-3, and less grey hair growth and possible re-pigmentation in months 3 and beyond.

For those customers with 30% or more grey, the slowing of new grey hair growth and some re-pigmentation is possible, it will just be harder to measure the results with that higher percentage of grey. When formulating Wash, Smooth, and Live In Mist, we focused on how to address other common characteristics of aging hair: Coarseness, dryness and brittleness.

Our Wash shampoo delivers our patent-pending active ingredients while gently cleansing both the scalp and hair strand, without leaving either feeling over-cleansed. Smooth is a daily conditioner that draws moisture to the interior of the hair strand, swelling the strand while jojoba oil and shea butter close the cuticle. Live In Mist is a leave-in conditioner that provides natural UV protection from raspberry seed oil, helping protect from a main cause of oxidative stress, sun exposure.

London’s iconic hotels are part of its identity, but with new visions of what an exciting hotel looks like launching over the last decade, it’s time to add some new contenders to the list of must-visit hotels in the city…

Now, this isn’t to knock the likes of The Dorchester, Claridges or The Langham – these timeless hotels are certainly also worth a visit. With the sweeping marble entrances, impressive festive displays and doormen with impeccable manners wearing impeccable suits and top hats; it’s impossible not to be charmed.

But sprawling London with its diverse cultural landscape is home to much more than the quintessential high-society hotel. There’s the sexy one (Mamma Shelter), the cool one (The Nomad), the one with the most Instagrammably interiors (The Resident) and even the one that will transport you to the middle of the jungle with its inside-outside bar and restaurant (The Mandrake). These are the under-the-radar hotels you need on your list.

Mama Shelter, Shoreditch

Playful, fun and full of character, French-born brand Mamma Shelter knows how to break out of the constraints of the traditional hotel and offer a completely different experience, from its all-you-can-eat brunches to its saucy Mamma Shelter Sexcation package to enjoy as part of a couple or for some pleasure-inducing alone time. The decor is loud and proud, with a homely vibe and an outdoor terrace serving cocktails all day and night. Located just off Hackney Road, in easy reach of Bethnal Green, Cambridge Heath, and Broadway Market, it’s easy to tick off the east London nightlife spots. Oh, and there’s late-night karaoke – need we say more?

mamashelter.com

The Nomad, Covent Garden

Comparatively relatively new on the hotel scene launching back in 2012, The Nomad has already secured its place as the hotel of the moment for those in the know. Not only is its impressive, almost-other-wordly restaurant one of the top-rated food spots in the city (hello Michelin star), but its snug and sumptuous bar Common Decency begs for long nights spent propping up the (very stylish) bar with a cocktail in hand (also very stylish – we’re talking embossed ice-cubes, flavoured foams and temperature contrasts via the most decadent interpretation of an espresso martini we’ve ever tasted). A far departure from traditional London hotels with their pomp and ceremony, The Nomad manages to impress on a completely different level, its spaces feeling more like a contemporary art gallery than an old-school hotel. This is what luxury looks like in the modern age.

The Resident, Victoria

The Resident manages to be classic and modern all at the same time, fusing its period features with luxe decor straight out of an interiors magazine; think bespoke artwork and special edition Paul Smith Anglepoise lamps, with sumptuous textiles made using natural fibres woven on the Isle of Bute in Scotland. Located just moments away from Buckingham Palace, this hidden gem is tucked away from the crowds in bustling Victoria, but still within easy reach of the action. To really accentuate the home-from-home feel, each of the 73 rooms features a mini-kitchen.

The Mandrake, Soho

Dark and sultry, a visit to the Mandrake is a sensual experience, with dimly lit spaces to enjoy drinks or dinner, atmospheric music and artwork to set the tone and a huge courtyard, Jurema, serving south American dishes in a jungle-like setting. The hotel promises its guests an “immersive” experience – and we’d have to agree that it succeeds. Try the Voodo cocktail and a dozen oysters at Waeska for a truly enlightening experience.

The Pilgrim, Paddington

At The Pilgrim, absolutely every last detail is tastefully done, from its impeccable Lounge to the cosy, comfy rooms decked out with amenities like a Marshall Bluetooth Speaker, refillable water bottle, and a beautiful selection of books and magazines, real plants and feature pieces the hotel’s unique collection of original artwork. It’s stylish, it’s understated and undeniably cool but still manages to feel welcoming and homely, making the Pilgrim an ideal base for exploring West London.

When I first visited Florida as a little girl with my family, I was besotted by all things Disney, as I’m sure most people are when they visit Florida. It’s a wonderland for those young or old who want to live out their fairy tale fantasies or escape to a different realm from a much-beloved film. For me, Florida signified family. It would become our staple holiday destination for years and has always been where I hold dear memories. Naturally, when the opportunity arose for me to revisit Florida this year, I was itching with excitement to board the plane!

But it was time for a completely different, unseen Florida – Culinary Florida. As of this year, MICHELIN Guide is putting Florida on the map for its exquisite eats across the state. Packed with MICHELIN Stars, Bib Gourmand Awards and MICHELIN recommendations, I advise packing loose-fitting clothing if you embark on a trip to Florida. By the end, you’ll be in food heaven and experience some of the best cuisines from around the world and Floridian dishes you’ve never tasted before.

What struck me most were a couple of locations I couldn’t help but shout about, mainly because they dug into my sentimental side and left a lasting impression. As I said, Florida means family to me, so when I visited the family fruit stand and market Robert is Here, Miami and Richard Gonzmart’s family empire of restaurants in Tampa, it felt like I was home.

Robert is Here – Miami, Florida

You think Miami; you think parties, beaches, and Miami Vice. But a short trip from the coasts will land you at Robert is Here, a fruit stand and farm market founded over sixty years ago by Robert Moehling. At six years old, Robert was instructed to sell a surplus of cucumbers his father couldn’t get rid of. A standard dilemma for any six-year-old. Today it is an all-encompassing fruit stand, market, and farm. Run by Robert and his entire family, grandchildren included, Robert is Here has made the MICHELIN Guide as a must-stop location in South Florida.

It’s a perfect Sunday morning spot for lazing around and picking out the freshest produce to take home for the week. Their milkshakes and smoothies have a reputation for themselves, being a popular choice for a mid-morning pickup or late-afternoon refreshment. I enjoyed a nourishing smoothie packed with berries, vitamins, and everything my body needed to feel boosted. The market also offers a delectable range of condiments, cooking sauces and locally grown fruit and vegetables that support the community. If you’re travelling as a family, there is also a delightful farm where you can feed the animals, all lovingly rescued and cared for by the Robert is Here team. With plans for expansion in the coming years, nothing stops the dreams of one family who started with little more than a bunch of cucumbers.

Robert is Here is located at 19200 SW 344th St, Homestead, FL 33034. They are open daily, 9 am – 6 pm, including Sundays.

The 1905 Empire

Richard Gonzmart is one of those people that when he walks into a room, you know he’s someone you must talk to. I was lucky enough to do just that.

(Pictured above: The legend himself, Mr Richard Gonzmart)

Across Tampa, but spanning the reach of the entire Florida state, the 1905 collection of restaurants has a reputation that speaks for itself. So much so that they all caught the eye of the MICHELIN Guide, and with good reason. I visited three 1905 restaurants on my trip; Ulele, The Columbia and Goody Goody Burgers. Richard is the 4th generation co-owner of the 1905 collection, but he prefers to call himself the “4th generation caretaker” as this title means so much more to him. And yet, he is one of the most prolific restaurateurs your will meet. Richard took over the restaurant empire from his late father, Caesar Gonzmart, and has served delicious dishes to locals and tourists his entire life, starting as a humble pot wash as a teen.

During a tour of the Columbia, Florida’s oldest restaurant, Richard told of how he met his future wife there as a teen and how he was confident he would spend his life with her. He did just that! It was clear as he spoke that family is at the heart of all they do, even in how they treat their employees, including many who have worked at the restaurant for over 30 years! The food at the Columbia is rich in Columbian heritage, with dishes that sing to the family’s deep history and love for cooking. A particular highlight of the menu you must try is their famous Cuban sandwich; you’ll be pressed to find better elsewhere.

(Pictured above: The stunning mosaic designs of Columbia restaurant)

If you head to Ulele, you can sample 1905’s brewed beers, with selections that suit every taste, from crisp pale ales to fruity beers. I also delved into a burger bigger than my head that left me in a minor food coma afterwards!

(Pictured above: Gigantic burgers at Ulele)

And on the subject of burgers, you can’t visit Tampa without stopping by Goody-Goody Burgers, an all-American diner with pumpkin pie to die for. Their signature hamburgers make McDonald’s look like amateurs in the burger game, and we were sure to order a second right after finishing the first – that’s how good they were.

The holiday season is almost upon us – and the anticipation is growing across the nation. Food, family, presents, and more; there’s such a lot to look forward to. And this includes the tradition of decking the halls. But what can you do if you’d like to give your festive decorations a bit of a twist in 2022? Well, there are many different things you can do that’ll have a real wow factor.

The possibilities are almost endless too. It could be a sustainable solution, a self-made creation, or a truly Christmassy spectacle to take the breath away. Here are some of those ideas:

Musical crackers

What do you look forward to most when sat around the family dinner table at Christmas? Is it a juicy slice of turkey, succulent root vegetables, or a beautiful Yule log? For some, it’s the delight that is pulling crackers. Even better – crackers that play festive music as they’re pulled? This is something you can make yourself too by programming a hidden micro:bit inside each cracker.

LED string balls

A dazzling light display is something to look forward to each Christmas. But it doesn’t mean you have to go as big as the likes of Disneyland with your decorations. It’s possible to create such a beautiful outdoor display when using something as simple as LED string balls. Drape them from your trees, wrap them around your railings, or hang them from your roof for maximum effect.

Lovely lavender

One of the more traditional options that can have an amazing effect is the use of lavender. The understated lilacs and purples can be used in wreaths and Christmas trees alike. It’s a new take on the more familiar pine Christmas tree. Not only is it easy on the eye, but lavender tantalises your sense of smell too with its aroma. Then, after Christmas, put it outside and watch it bloom.

Alternative Christmas Trees

If lavender doesn’t strike a chord, you can also consider another alternative Christmas tree. The growing worries over the environmental impact of traditional options is one reason for seeking a catchy new option. So, create a talking point in your community by decorating that palm tree in your front yard – or perhaps even a cactus. A bit of tinsel and some lights are all you need!

Holiday gnomes

Gnomes aren’t necessarily the first thing you’ll think of when it comes to Christmas decorations – or Christmas at all! But did you that festive gnomes can have a fantastic effect on your décor? One reason they’re becoming more popular is the enchanted forest vibe they can give the home at this magical time of year. And they’re equally impressive indoors or outdoors.

As you can see, there are loads of festive decoration ideas you can choose from this holiday season. Some are already there waiting for you. Some just take a bit of handiwork. And the others don’t have to cost the earth. What they all do, however, is create a real talking point with your friends and family. And isn’t bringing people together what Christmas is all about?

It is a very exciting month ahead as we embrace all things Christmas related. There will be office Christmas parties, nights out with friends, and of course Christmas day itself.

Then there’s the week between Christmas and New Year when we will be shopping in the sales and prepping for New Years Eve.

If you don’t have the right beauty products for the party season you can always add a few to your Christmas list. Alternatively, treat someone else to something gorgeous from the beauty world.

We’ve compiled a gift list, which includes fragrance, make-up, skincare and body care.
