Step in to the world of Isaure, where every stroke of the brush is a celebration of life, love, and the beauty of the human…

Isaure, could you introduce yourself to us and share who you are and what you do?

My name is Isaure, and I’m French, originally from Brittany but mainly from Paris! I’m 30 years old and married to my childhood sweetheart. We have a little girl and soon a new addition to the family, due next July. Currently, I split my time between France and Canada, residing in Montreal for almost 13 years now. Balancing my professional and personal life, I find joy in immersing myself in the blend of two cultures, both different and yet similar. This duality greatly enriches my work.

Speaking of work, I am an artist-painter. I unintentionally founded Isaure Atelier in 2020. Today, I manage two companies: one focusing on custom artistic projects, and the other, in collaboration with my partner Benjamin, primarily producing silk scarves featuring my artworks.

Can you tell us more about Isaure Atelier, the mediums you use to express your art, and your different business models?

Isaure Atelier is primarily my platform for artistic expression through painting, whether it be on canvas with acrylics or graphic painting on my iPad. By constantly creating, I’ve encountered various opportunities, both in terms of mediums I use and in commercialising my art.

Currently, my activities are divided into three parts or business models:

  • Collaborating with brands to create custom designs such as murals, pop-ups, special capsules, and prints.
  • Working with individuals and luxury resorts to produce unique custom paintings and/or custom scarves.
  • Partnering with luxury department stores to sell my silk scarves. Eight of my creations are currently exhibited and sold as silk scarves at La Samaritaine (LVMH) in Paris. Additionally, my scarves are available for purchase on my website (www.isaureatelier.com).

Why was it important for you to explore various mediums, and how did the idea of combining art and fashion through scarves come about?

I find it crucial to explore multiple artistic mediums to avoid redundancy and monotony. I’m deeply passionate about my work and aim to sustain this passion for as long as possible. Therefore, I believe in the importance of diversification and adaptation to challenges, as they foster artistic growth.

As for the scarves, the idea originated from my sister Marguerite, a budding stylist at the time. She suggested printing my artworks on fabric, which intrigued me. However, I wanted to explore a medium beyond conventional framing. With my love for fashion in mind, I opted for silk scarves. The idea of people wearing my artwork, albeit in limited quantities, through a timeless accessory like silk scarves, fascinated me. Moreover, the sensual and soft nature of silk resonated with my artistic vision, enhancing the allure of my creations.

Could you share your journey of discovering your unique artistic style, especially your exploration of shapes and colours?

My artistic journey began in childhood, influenced by my grandmother, a painter and ceramist. I initially gravitated towards vibrant, rounded shapes in my paintings, often depicting flowers, architecture, and objects. During adolescence, my passion for drawing slender women emerged, inspired by fashion design sketches.

A pivotal moment in shaping my style occurred when I encountered sculptures of round women during a trip with my father. Their joyous aura resonated with me, prompting me to incorporate rounded figures into my artwork. Over time, I developed two distinct painting styles: one concrete, featuring easily recognisable shapes, and the other abstract, characterised by intertwined and overlapping women rendered through fluid lines. My artistic process involves infusing rhythm into my paintings by blending curves, evoking sensuality and vitality.

Regarding colour, my zest for life and love for vibrant aesthetics naturally translate into my choice of palette. I aim to create artworks that exude positivity and joy, reflecting my personality and worldview.

Your work often celebrates diversity and challenges traditional notions of beauty. What inspired you to embrace these elements in your art?

Central to my artistic approach are three elements: women, rounded shapes, and colorful environments. Through my creations, I strive to evoke joy, happiness, and positivity, resonating with viewers on a personal level. Rounded shapes symbolize comfort and warmth, juxtaposed against societal ideals of strictness and formality. Women, for me, embody strength, beauty, and the essence of existence. Placed within vibrant, joyful settings, they serve as focal points, radiating energy and vitality.

How do you believe art can empower individuals and inspire them, particularly in challenging conventional beauty standards?

Art serves as a medium for emotional expression, evoking varied responses and interpretations. While subjective, beauty and joy hold universal appeal, transcending cultural and societal boundaries. Art has the power to redefine beauty, challenging preconceived notions and fostering inclusivity. For instance, my portrayal of rounded women celebrates their inherent beauty, countering societal stigma surrounding body image. Through art, individuals can find solace, validation, and empowerment, reclaiming their narratives and embracing self-acceptance.

Your creations convey a profound love for life. How does your passion for life manifest in the energy and emotions captured in your artwork?

I come from a large family, rather inclined towards joy and positivity thanks to the nurturing upbringing by my parents. They always encouraged us to love ourselves, to be proud of who we are, to accept ourselves as we are, and thus indirectly fostered our creative side. They are also like that towards us; my parents are not attached to perfection. And that, I think, makes us deeply happy. I believe that the very essence of who I am, where I am going, and what I do, hence what I paint, comes from there! It’s difficult to explain how it translates, there is no specific technique or rule; I would say it happens very naturally.

Many of your characters are relatable and endearing. What qualities or narratives do you intentionally imbue into your characters to foster a personal connection with your audience?

In my artworks, my characters revel in life’s simple pleasures, unburdened by societal expectations or judgments. They embody authenticity and resilience, inspiring viewers to embrace their individuality and find joy in everyday moments. By depicting characters free from societal constraints, I aim to cultivate a sense of empowerment and self-acceptance among my audience. Through relatable narratives and authentic portrayals, my artwork serves as a mirror, reflecting the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

In a world preoccupied with certain beauty standards, your art celebrates diversity and self-acceptance. What message do you hope your audience takes away regarding body positivity and self-love?

At its core, my art advocates for self-love and acceptance, irrespective of societal norms or standards. By celebrating diversity and embracing rounded figures, I seek to challenge conventional beauty ideals and promote inclusivity. Through my artwork, I aspire to instill a sense of empowerment and confidence in individuals, encouraging them to embrace their unique attributes and celebrate their bodies. Ultimately, I hope to inspire a cultural shift towards greater acceptance and appreciation of diverse beauty standards, fostering a more inclusive and compassionate society.

Colours play a significant role in your work. How do you approach colour selection, and what emotions or moods do you aim to evoke through your choice of palette?

Ah, colors! Each creation, the choice of colors is a real mess! You know, the more choices we have, the less choice we have haha! Sometimes we wish for limitations so that our choices would be simpler, but with colors, it’s impossible: there are plenty of them, and it’s up to me to find the best possible combinations! So I try, I fail, I start over, sometimes 5 times, sometimes 10 times, sometimes 50 times! And I sleep on it, for several days until I look at my work and say to myself: wow, there it is! We got it. I love it when my clients challenge me on colors; I do a lot of custom pieces, so sometimes they impose color combinations on me that I wouldn’t have thought of, and they turn out wonderfully.

Your distinctive style sets you apart in the art world. What advice do you have for emerging artists seeking to carve out their voice and visual language?

Not hesitating to inquire, educate oneself, travel, observe, and become familiar with various styles, elements, artists, etc. And not just through art: it can be through music, cinema, exhibitions, encounters, etc. In fact, one must cultivate curiosity and encourage discovery. That’s how we stimulate our senses.

Your work radiates positivity and joy. How do you maintain optimism and enthusiasm in your creative process, especially during challenging times?

By always finding pleasure in working and creating a piece of art. Even when there are obstacles, I’m fortunate to be able to work on various types of projects: scarves, artworks for individuals, collaborations with brands. In fact, when I reach a point where the joy of creating diminishes, I take a break and switch to another project before returning to it. I try to vary my days, not having a copy-and-paste routine from one day to another, except for waking up early; I love starting my workday early.

Can you share a pivotal moment or experience in your artistic journey that shaped your perspective and direction as an artist?

A transformative moment in my artistic journey occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, when I found myself pregnant with my first child. Amidst confinement and uncertainty, I turned to art as a form of solace and self-expression. Starting with a single canvas inspired by David Hockney’s work, I embarked on a journey of creative exploration that ultimately led to the founding of Isaure Atelier. This pivotal experience not only shaped my artistic direction but also reaffirmed my belief in the transformative power of art, even in the most challenging of times.

Collaboration often sparks creativity. Are there any artists or creators you dream of collaborating with in the future, and why?

I’m drawn to collaborators who share a passion for innovation and daring creativity. From fashion designers to chefs and cultural influencers, I aspire to collaborate with individuals and brands that push boundaries and challenge conventions. Among my dream collaborators are Charaf Tajer of “Casablanca,” chef Jean Imbert, JJ Martin of “La DoubleJ,” Blanca Miro and Maria de la Orden of “La Veste,” and iconic brands like Gucci, Lacoste, and Adidas Originals. Each of these collaborators embodies a spirit of boldness and creativity that aligns with my artistic vision, inspiring collaboration that transcends traditional boundaries and fosters innovation.

How do you envision the art world becoming more inclusive and supportive of emerging talents, especially those who challenge conventional norms?

There are already plenty of initiatives in place to discover and support new talents, but I believe that those who have the power to showcase talents and their beautiful messages are precisely those who have the power and the resources to do so: brands, cultural ministries, personalities, and all those who have influence. We rely heavily on them to trust us and propel us forward.

Beyond visual art, do you draw inspiration from other forms of expression such as literature, music, or cinema? How do these influences manifest in your creations?

Absolutely! I draw inspiration from various forms of expression, including literature, music, cinema, and everyday experiences. Each of these influences informs my creative process, enriching my artwork with diverse narratives and perspectives. Whether it’s the lyricism of a novel, the melody of a song, or the visual storytelling of a film, I find inspiration in the beauty and complexity of the human experience. These influences manifest in my creations through nuanced themes, vibrant imagery, and emotive storytelling, creating artworks that resonate on multiple levels with viewers.

Your art transcends cultural boundaries, fostering cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. How do you approach cultural diversity in your work, and what role do you see art playing in promoting cultural exchange?

Living in Montreal, a melting pot of cultures, has profoundly influenced my perspective on cultural diversity. I view cultural diversity as a source of inspiration and enrichment, weaving elements of different cultures into my artwork to create a tapestry of shared experiences and perspectives.

Through art, I aim to bridge cultural divides, fostering empathy, understanding, and appreciation for diverse traditions and identities. Art serves as a universal language that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers, promoting dialogue and exchange on a global scale. By celebrating cultural diversity in my work, I hope to contribute to a more inclusive and interconnected world, where mutual respect and appreciation form the foundation of cultural exchange.

Your creations are imbued with a sense of playfulness. How do you balance the joy of creation with the discipline required to navigate the professional world?

I think the professional world quickly becomes bored and needs freshness, fun, uniqueness, and exploration of uncharted paths! This is why I increasingly work with luxury brands, which have quickly understood that they must constantly reinvent themselves to endure and continue to surprise their clients, who have often seen and experienced everything. We can see this with all the collaborations happening and how pop and street culture have imposed themselves in fashion, for example. Louis Vuitton is the best example of this.

The professional world needs this, to surround itself with people who can create without limits, and thus be surprised by creativity and art!

As a vibrant and passionate artist, what legacy do you hope to leave through your art, and what impact do you aspire to make on the world?

Through my art, I aspire to leave a legacy of joy, positivity, and inspiration. I believe that art has the power to transform lives, uplift spirits, and foster connection and understanding. My greatest hope is that my artwork resonates with viewers on a deeply personal level, eliciting emotions and sparking conversations that transcend cultural and societal boundaries. Ultimately, I aim to leave behind a legacy of love and creativity, enriching the world with beauty, optimism, and hope.

Our readers love to travel. What destination is at the top of your bucket list?

Choosing a single destination from my bucket list is challenging, as I’m drawn to the beauty and diversity of cultures around the world. However, if I had to choose, Senegal has been calling out to me for some time. The rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking landscapes of Senegal hold a special allure, promising an unforgettable journey of exploration and discovery.

Introducing Andrezza Valentin, a visionary contemporary artist and designer hailing from the vibrant streets of São Paulo, Brazil, now making waves in the bustling creative scene of New York City.

Andrezza’s journey is one of boundless creativity and unwavering passion. Fueled by a profound love for all things handmade and a relentless pursuit of artistic expression, she embarked on a quest to fuse her background in design and art with the meticulous craftsmanship of jewelry making. Thus, Paradise Feathers was born—a testament to her ingenuity and artistic prowess.

Having previously delved into the realm of large-scale sculptures and installations, Andrezza’s artistic evolution is a testament to her adaptability and resilience. While her earlier works embraced the transient nature of ephemeral materials, her foray into jewelry design offers a striking contrast, allowing her creations to endure the test of time while retaining their singular essence.

Influenced by the timeless principles of Bauhaus and the opulent allure of Art Deco, Andrezza’s designs embody a harmonious fusion of minimalist elegance and sophisticated allure. With a keen eye for geometric forms and a masterful blend of precious and non-precious materials, she crafts wearable sculptures that exude an aura of glamour and refinement.

Andrezza Valentin is not merely a designer; she is a storyteller, weaving narratives of beauty and intrigue with every meticulously crafted piece. Her creations beckon the wearer to embark on a journey of self-expression and empowerment, embodying the essence of modern luxury and artistic innovation.

In the ever-evolving landscape of contemporary design, Andrezza stands as a beacon of inspiration—an artist unafraid to push boundaries, challenge conventions, and carve her own path towards creative greatness.

Can you share the story behind the creation of Paradise Feathers and how your journey as a contemporary artist led you to jewellery design?

After moving from Brazil to the US, I found myself searching for a new way to make art. The change of countries, culture, and the realities of living in NY with very limited space forced me to rethink my work as an artist. It made me think of sculpture and materials in a different way since my inspirations and environment were now very different. The approach to jewellery as sculpture or object of art was a seed planted by one of my friends and an amazing art curator, Cristina Candeloro, when we were still at the university. After one of her trips to London, she gave Stainless Steel a ring with the engraving – “Rings are small sculptures.” That was the first time I saw jewellery as an art object.

Your background involves large-scale sculptures and installations with ephemeral materials. How does this experience influence your approach to creating lasting and unique pieces in the realm of jewellery design?

Working with metal and everlasting materials serves as a counterpoint to my large-scale and ephemeral sculptures. Before, the choice of using ephemeral materials was intrinsic to my pursuit of materializing the experience of transience and longing for a moment that can’t be held forever. Jewellery, for me, is an evolution of that initial creative desire because it can be a memento, a reminder of a memory, an event, a feeling, or even a person.

Bauhaus and Art Deco are mentioned as significant influences in your work. How do these artistic movements inspire and shape your minimalist designs?

Before I became a fine artist, I studied graphic arts, which was my first introduction to design. My early influences as a designer were heavily influenced by Bauhaus’ holistic approach to creativity, which saw all expressions of design and art as equally important. Both Bauhaus and Art Deco aesthetics are heavily influenced by architecture, precision, and a relentless pursuit of simplification in terms of form, color, and materials. However, Art Deco brings luxury and glamour into the mix since it often combines bold colors, geometric lines with gold, diamonds, and high-end materials.

Can you elaborate on the concept of Paradise Feathers, and how does it reflect your artistic vision and personal ethos?

I created Paradise Feathers with the desire to create wearable art pieces that can be worn every day instead of being put away in a glass box to be admired but not touched. I wanted to create tactile objects that can be used as a channel for self-expression and as a statement of each person’s unique style. I believe everyone can be glamorous without a lot of effort. We just need to be very intentional about what we wear and don’t be afraid to not conform to trends.

Transitioning from large-scale artworks to small, wearable sculptures is a unique shift. What challenges did you face in adapting your creative process to a different scale, and how did you overcome them?

This transition happened over the course of years, so it wasn’t an abrupt change. However, having to create scale models and prototypes before actually building the final sculpture helped me reframe my thinking to work on a smaller scale for my jewellery pieces. The precision and patience that come with working on a small scale are still a constant learning process. I find jewellery less forgiving when it comes to mistakes. You have to be very mindful and precise whereas when working with ice or any other ephemeral materials, you don’t need the same rigor and precision because everything is changing every moment.

The combination of geometric shapes, clean lines, and a mix of precious and non-precious materials is a hallmark of your designs. How do you strike a balance between these elements to achieve the desired aesthetic?

The balance is very intuitive for me. The simplicity of the shape and the choice of materials are the most important decisions. If I decide to use a material that has textures like Rutilated Quartz or precious metals, I intentionally seek a counterpoint in the shape that brings a unique approach and structure to the piece.

How does your Brazilian background influence your artistic perspective, and in what ways does it manifest in the pieces you create for Paradise Feathers?

Brazil has a huge heritage in mining and stones. I’m just starting to scratch that surface. I always admired Brazilian Modernism, especially its expression in architecture and furniture design because of the unexpected use of organic materials and shapes, which make it very unique compared to Modernism in Europe or the US. I believe my interest in combining precious and non-precious materials is inspired by that.

Sustainability is a growing concern in the world of fashion and design. How do you approach sustainability in your creations, considering both the materials you use and the longevity of your pieces?

I cannot claim to be 100% sustainable, and honestly, nobody can. Greenwashing is a huge issue in the fashion industry, and because of that, I try to be as transparent as possible. I have very clear boundaries, especially in terms of materials. I only started using gold when I could be sure of its source, and the same goes for semi-precious stones. I’m still exploring the idea of using precious stones like diamonds because of the complexity to trace its origins. The size and shapes of my pieces sometimes force me to go for alternative materials like acrylic and soon glass. I’m also doing a lot of research on how to offset the impact of acrylic and ways to recycle it to minimize the environmental impact.

Your jewellery is described as “wearable sculptures of glamor and sophistication.” What emotions or experiences do you aim to evoke in the individuals who wear your creations?

I aim to evoke feelings of empowerment, confidence, and self-love through my creations. True glamour, to me, is the light that shines from within.

Can you share a memorable moment or story from your journey as a jewellery artist that has significantly impacted your approach to your craft?

It’s hard to pinpoint a moment, but being able to make my first ring from scratch, melting the metal, making the wire, shaping it, until its finished form was magical.

Collaboration often plays a vital role in the world of design. Have you collaborated with other artists or designers, and if so, how has it enriched your creative process?

I haven’t had the chance to collaborate with other designers or artists yet. I’ve done it in the past as a traditional artist and graphic designer. I know opportunities will come, and it is always fun to see how the work evolves and changes when you have another perspective brought into the fold.

In the fast-paced world of fashion, how do you ensure that your designs remain timeless and continue to resonate with your audience over the years?

I don’t try to pursue trends. I believe the endurance of my designs will come from the craft and my ability to maintain a continuous visual thread throughout my work, even when my style will naturally evolve over time.

Do you have a favorite piece from your collection, and if so, what makes it special to you?

I love every piece, but the Slab Bracelet is my favorite. I love the boldness of the shape, the combination of gold with acrylic. I believe that piece truly expresses my vision as an artist.

As a designer based in New York, how does the vibrant and diverse cultural scene of the city inspire or influence your work?

The energy, the cultural diversity, and especially the uniqueness of how people express themselves through fashion in NY are extremely inspiring. You see trends being created, fad, weird and clever combinations. Everything is possible and valid if you can pull it off. I love that freedom, and that carries through my work.

How do you approach the balance between functionality and artistic expression when creating pieces that are not only visually striking but also meant to be worn?

I wear all my pieces for a long period of time to make sure it is comfortable and truly wearable. I’m not interested in creating concept pieces that you can only look at, but they don’t really work in real life. I consider a piece done only when I can achieve the desired design and look while ensuring functionality.

Are there specific materials or techniques that you find particularly fascinating or challenging to work with in your jewellery designs?

I love metalforming. A lot of my pieces are handmade and formed by hand. Metalforming is a magical process for me because you transform a hard material into many different shapes through fire, pressure, tension.

How do you navigate the intersection of art and commerce in the world of jewellery design, ensuring your creations maintain artistic integrity while being accessible to a broader audience?

I took the approach of creating a collection that has different ranges of prices. The art jewelry category gives you more freedom to be more accessible because you were not expected to only use precious metals and stones. The playfulness of combining materials in my work allows me to keep the creative integrity and still be able to offer more accessible pieces.

With the ever-evolving landscape of fashion and design, how do you stay creatively inspired and continue to push the boundaries of your own work?

I always welcome the new, and I believe the ever-evolving landscape is an invitation to innovate and experiment. My inspiration comes from many different places, AI and virtual fashion to cinema, social media, and of course from familiar places like art and design.

Can you share insights into your creative process, from the initial concept to the final product? Are there rituals or routines that aid your creativity?

This is a quote from Tadao Ando that describes my process very well: “My hand is the extension of the thinking process – the creative process.” Sometimes I start a piece by sketching some initial ideas on my iPad, but quickly I move into prototyping it in brass and acrylic. I finally bought a laser cutter, which transformed my process.

I don’t need to worry about not getting this right the first time because I can easily iterate and improve the design, without having to spend a fortune or wait for days to receive a new piece. In my studio, I have a space where I concept, surrounded by books and references, and right next to it is my jewelry bench, plating, laser cutting. I can’t imagine myself working without being hands-on. I need to touch it and feel it to give it meaning and understanding.

What advice would you give to aspiring jewellery designers or artists who are looking to carve their niche in the competitive and dynamic world of contemporary design?

Be patient, be humble, trust your instincts but also know how to listen. I learn so much from observing and listening to people tell their journey as a jeweler and artist. We don’t need to do everything ourselves, and we don’t need to be perfect. I’m much more gentle and compassionate with myself as a jewelry designer than when I was working as a traditional artist. Probably age and experience taught me that perfection is not real and the most important is to love and enjoy what you do. The rest will fall into place over time.

Can you share a specific moment or experience that first ignited your passion for natural gemstones and jewellery design?

All my life, I’ve been fascinated by jewellery. I remember looking at my grandmother’s and mother’s rings and earrings, wondering how they were made. When my father told me that a jeweller crafted them, I envisioned a man soldering metal and cutting stones, which, to my young mind, didn’t seem too feminine. For years, I only thought about wearing jewellery. However, during a vacation in Honduras, a broken necklace led me to a store offering beading classes. Choosing to fix it myself opened a new door in my mind.

What was that transformative moment of fixing a broken piece of jewellery like, and how did it shape your path as a jewellery designer?

It started with beading, and I couldn’t get my mind off it, but I knew I wanted to do much more complicated work than just assembling pieces. Back in New York City, I started taking bench classes in metalsmithing and wax carving at a local art school. That’s when I was really able to start making the kind of pieces I was envisioning in my mind. The physicality of bending, pounding, and melting metal is so intense, and when the final piece emerges elegant and pretty, it was such a thrill. There was no turning back; I was hooked.

Coming from Honduras to New York City must have been quite a transition. How has your cultural background influenced your design aesthetics and the overall ethos of Aurora Laffite Jewelry?

Certainly, there is a big difference in the aesthetic of my two homes. Honduras is largely about finding the beauty in nature, revelling in the colours and feelings of the tropical environment. New York City, on the other hand, is the glamorous capital of America, with glittering skyscrapers and the excitement of high-end fashion. I’m inspired to combine these two worlds, bringing lush colours into the bustling city of grand glamour.

You mentioned taking art classes in Manhattan and later advancing to GIA for cutting-edge jewellery software. How do traditional craftsmanship and modern technology blend in your creative process?

I’m glad I started with physically making the jewellery by hand – it gave me knowledge about manufacturing that reading alone couldn’t provide. But, wanting more advanced knowledge, I turned to GIA and CAD. It was a transition from a blowtorch to a computer program, but blending the skills from both techniques became freeing. Now, I start designs with jewellery software, where the only limit is my imagination, but always have it 100% hand-finished.

Your brand is known for its emphasis on high-quality, natural gemstones and solid precious metals. Why is this commitment to authenticity and craftsmanship so important to you?

I’ve experienced pieces tarnishing over time, and understanding the difference between gold-plated, gold-filled, and solid gold made me prioritise quality. I want to create fun, modern designs that last a lifetime, passed down from generation to generation. Natural gemstones, with their complex science, have fascinated people for thousands of years, and I’m proud to continue that tradition.

Each piece from Aurora Laffite Jewelry is individually made-to-order. How does this personalised What happened? approach contribute to the unique connection your customers have with your creations?

There’s something special about an item made specifically for you. It has emotional value beyond the purchase, connecting the customer to the piece. As a startup, working exclusively with precious materials, made-to-order ensures uniqueness, though it’s challenging to have every size in stock.

How do you measure the impact and fulfilment of your work?

I feel successful when a customer wears my designs and feels extra special and beautiful. When the piece connects with their personal style, enhancing their uniqueness – that’s the entire point of jewellery. When it finds its way to the right person, it’s a fantastic feeling that drives me to keep creating.

We’d love to know more about the inspirations behind your designs. Are there specific artists, places, or eras that consistently influence your creative vision?

Certainly, one of my biggest inspirations is nature, reflected in my newest collections, “La Fleur Rouge” and the “Humming Beauty Set.” “La Fleur Rouge” draws from childhood memories of my grandmother’s garden, and the “Humming Beauty Set” captures the magical experience of encountering iridescent hummingbirds.

We understand your belief that jewellery is an expression of individualism. How do you ensure that your designs capture the essence of each person’s unique style and personality?

For “La Fleur Rouge” and “The Humming Beauty Set,” I pull specifics from my own life, aiming to connect with customers in an emotionally resonant way. While their past may be different, our childhood memories are interlaced with the same glow of nostalgia.

You’ve mentioned that you see jewellery as a way for women to feel dazzling and empowered. Can you recall a customer’s story that particularly touched you and reinforced this belief?

One of my set designs was sold to a woman who loved them so much that she later ordered a customised matching pair for her daughter. This meant a lot to me because it connects two generations, strengthening their bond when they wear the matching set.

How has New York City itself played a role in shaping your artistic identity and business?

One of my designs, “The SkyTower Set,” is directly inspired by the glamour of the “big city.” It represents the entire city, glowing and glittering at night, like its own jewel. My hope is that set will make someone feel – no matter whether they’re at a Manhattan event or off in the countryside – like they’re shining bright, straight from the very centre of the world’s culture.

As a successful entrepreneur, what advice would you give to aspiring designers or individuals looking to start their own creative ventures?

Research your market, understand your customers, and listen to their needs. Build something you are personally passionate about because that passion will keep you motivated through challenges. Love what you do, so external noise won’t slow you down.

Beyond the world of jewellery, what are some of your other creative outlets or artistic pursuits that influence your designs?

Living in New York City, I have access to some of the greatest museums in the world, and I love going to places like the Metropolitan Museum of Art and MOMA. Just looking at their colour mixes and varied use of shapes and style can be so inspiring.

What does success mean to you as the founder and designer of Aurora Laffite Jewelry?

Success, to me, is taking my passion and vision and bringing that out to a wide audience that cherishes my designs.

Travel often sparks creativity. Are there any specific destinations on your travel wish list that you believe would inspire future jewellery collections?

As a Central American, I feel proud to say that there is a lot to explore there that can help everyone find inspiration. I aim to keep exploring my native Honduras, as well as our neighbours, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and all of the Central American isthmus.

Looking back on your journey, is there anything you would do differently, and what valuable lessons have you learned along the way?

I wish I had learned sooner to stop looking for perfection. Sometimes imperfections make something extra beautiful. I was hesitant to make the next move in my life because I felt like I had to wait until everything was “right,” but really, I just needed to dive in and dare to move forward.

In the world of fine jewellery, trends can come and go. How do you stay true to your artistic vision while remaining adaptable to evolving tastes?

My goal is to create jewellery that has one foot in classic design and the other in the modern world. True elegance never goes out of fashion, and that’s what I aspire to make.

What legacy do you hope to leave through Aurora Laffite Jewelry, both in terms of artistic impact and societal contribution?

I hope my jewellery is passed down from generation to generation, standing the test of time. I aim to bring out the glory of natural gemstones, supporting ethical mining practices and continuing a tradition of making art that connects to a woman’s natural beauty.

Outside of the demanding world of jewellery design, how do you unwind and find joy in your personal life?

I enjoy going to museums, spending time in nature, and having quality time with my family. Being with my toddler, who constantly demands attention, is the most fulfilling experience.

Lastly, if you could collaborate with any artist or designer, living or historical, who would it be and why?

Since I was little, I’ve always admired Carolina Herrera’s elegant, classic designs. To me, it would be a dream-come-true to collaborate with someone who’s made her mark so powerfully. What she’s accomplished is what I aspire to do myself.

In the enchanting realm where artistry meets gemstones, there exists a visionary force named Sonya Konstantinovsky. With a heart captivated by the rare brilliance, Sonya embarked on a journey that would lead to the creation of SONYA K., a jewelry brand that transcends the ordinary. Her story is one of passion, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of dreams that emerged even stronger in the face of adversity.

Sonya’s odyssey began with a serendipitous discovery on Instagram—an encounter with a green stone that ignited a profound love affair with Tsavorite. What started as a personal fascination blossomed into a transformative exploration of rare gemstones, unraveling a world of unique beauty she was determined to share. SONYA K. was born not just out of a desire to craft jewelry but to curate a collection that embodies elegance, individuality, and empowerment.

In the tapestry of Sonya’s narrative, every gemstone, every creation, and every triumph is a testament to the power of dreams, the resilience of the human spirit, and the enduring allure of timeless beauty. Join us on this inspiring journey into the luminous world of SONYA K.—where dreams crystallize into gems, and jewelry becomes a reflection of life’s most precious moments.

Your journey into the world of jewelry started with a deep love for Tsavorite. How did this love affair with gemstones inspire the creation of SONYA K., and what sets it apart from other jewelry brands?

In 2018, while scrolling on Instagram, I came across a green stone that immediately captured my heart. The gemstone dealer selling it informed me it was called tsavorite but couldn’t provide much more information. Intrigued, I began researching the stone, unveiling other unique gems in the process. It felt like I had stumbled upon a magical world of rare gemstones that I didn’t want to leave.

I began purchasing gemstones through Instagram, building a small collection of rare specimens. Though I desired to create jewelry, I lacked a clear vision of its appearance. With the onset of COVID, I put my dream on hold during the uncertain times. However, my perspective changed in December 2021 after contracting the virus. I realized life is unpredictable, prompting me to pursue my dream.

Seeking manufacturing in New York City to support the local community amid job losses, finding the right manufacturer proved challenging. Yet, once secured, everything started falling into place. I firmly believe in the notion: start walking, and the road will appear. Starting any venture involves a lot of uncertainty, but with faith, light gradually emerges.

What sets SONYA K. apart is our focus on crafting jewelry with rare gems, not limited to the three most popular colored stones—emerald, ruby, and sapphire. Tsavorite, for instance, is 300 times rarer than emerald. Introducing clients to truly unique gems distinguishes us.

We prioritize top-quality products, meticulously attending to every step of the creation process, from gem selection to craftsmanship. Our jewels are simple, elegant, and eye-catching. Versatile enough for jeans yet elevated for a red-carpet event, many pieces can be worn in multiple ways, reflecting our core values of versatility and wearability.

The Taylor necklace stands out, transforming from a tennis necklace to a more elevated look. Can you share the creative process behind designing versatile and wearable pieces that adapt to our fast-paced lives?

The Taylor necklace comprises a classic diamond tennis necklace base with a seamless lock for adding pendants. Wear it on its own as a timeless diamond necklace or with a colorful gemstone pendant. I envisioned a piece that transforms on the go—start your day with a simple diamond layer and, later, for a power lunch, business meeting, or dinner event, attach a pendant for a unique style. It’s a staple for any jewelry lover.

Ideal for travel, the Taylor necklace allows endless customization with various pendants, eliminating the need for multiple necklaces for different outfits. Similarly, I enjoy creating earrings with ear jackets, providing multiple ways to wear the same piece.

SONYA K. focuses on creating modern, timeless pieces. How do you balance the contemporary aesthetic with the timelessness of your designs to ensure they remain relevant in the ever-changing world of fashion?

I ensure our designs remain relevant by steering clear of chasing trends or fashion. Instead, I focus on creating minimalistic styles that are easy to wear, elegant, and unique. The gemstones I use are beautiful and unique, requiring minimal embellishment to stand out. They are akin to women who use makeup to highlight their natural beauty rather than obscure it.

Empowerment is a central theme in your design philosophy. How do you aim to empower individuals through your minimalistic designs and vibrant gemstones, encouraging them to wear their jewelry every day rather than saving it for special occasions?

I believe jewelry should be worn, not left to languish in a jewelry box. Gemstones, like sapphires, lose vibrancy if not exposed to light for extended periods. Your jewelry becomes despondent from neglect.

On challenging days, when you may want to retreat, a vibrant gemstone can serve as a reminder of strength. Whether it’s a green tsavorite or a bright Barbie-pink rubellite tourmaline, the gemstone smiles back, saying, “You’ve got this.” That’s how I want my jewelry to empower women—with vibrant, uplifting colors.

The idea of building a jewelry collection that portrays one’s unique style is intriguing. Can you share tips on how individuals can curate their collection to reflect their personality and evolve with their style over time?

Similar to building a wardrobe with staple items, a jewelry collection should include essentials. A classic Taylor diamond necklace is versatile with endless customization possibilities. Studs, hoops, and earrings with jackets offer varied looks. Rings are essential, and like a wardrobe, continuously build your collection over time.

In the fashion industry, some things are relevant in the moment, while others are timeless. My pieces fall into the timeless category, akin to an Hermès Birkin bag or a classic YSL blazer.

The vibrant colors of your gemstones are meant to brighten each day. How do you choose the gemstone colors for your pieces, and what emotions or experiences do you hope wearers derive from them?

Choosing gemstone colors involves encountering numerous stones daily. Some speak to you instantly, while others don’t. Vibrancy, cleanliness, and cut quality are crucial. I look for stones that excite me and will excite my customers, lending strength on gloomy days or heightening joy on great ones.

As a founder, how do you stay true to your brand’s vision while also incorporating new trends and technologies into your designs and business practices?

When designing new pieces, they must align with our core values rather than solely following trends. If they happen to align with a trend, that’s a bonus. As for technologies, I welcome any that contribute to creating the best product.

Your journey involved hands-on experience and self-learning about gemstones. What challenges did you face in establishing your brand, and how did those challenges shape the values and ethos of SONYA K.?

The most challenging aspect was manufacturing. It’s challenging to find individuals who excel in their craft, go the extra mile, and are genuinely good people. These challenges reinforced the importance of perseverance and excellence.

The concept of passing down jewelry to the next generation is beautiful. How do you envision SONYA K. becoming a part of family legacies, and what significance do you hope your pieces hold for future generations?

I am sentimental, and stories of individuals wearing their grandmother’s earrings to significant events move me. I envision my jewelry carrying similar significance. I hope my pieces become treasured heirlooms, connecting generations with shared memories.

Can you share a memorable story about a customer who felt a strong connection to one of your pieces, and how that experience reinforced your commitment to creating meaningful jewelry?

In May, a customer purchased a 7-carat, one-of-a-kind ring for his wife’s birthday. He had been searching for a top-quality tsavorite, and after viewing videos of the stone, he knew it was perfect. Sharing the passion for a stone with a client is profound, like translating the beauty of a gemstone into someone else’s language.

The intersection of finance and jewelry design is unique to your background. How do you think this combination enhances the value proposition for your customers, making them view their purchases as both aesthetic investments and financial ones?

I prioritize quality over quantity. Gems meeting specific criteria—untreated, top-color, well-cut—become appreciating assets. Besides financial value, owning such a gem means possessing a unique, appreciating asset.

Your emphasis on quality gemstones and craftsmanship is evident in your designs. How does your background in the financial field influence your approach to sourcing the best-quality gems, turning these pieces into not only adornments but also investments?

Observing rare and unique stones appreciating in value over time at jewelry auctions informs my approach. The emphasis on quality stems from a desire for gems that will command higher prices in the future.

Looking ahead, what excites you most about the future of SONYA K., and what goals or aspirations do you have for the brand in the coming years?

I started the brand during COVID, purchasing colored gemstones through videos. I look forward to traveling to Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Tanzania to meet suppliers in person and witness mining operations. I aim to expand the color palette of gems, working with Paraiba, Chrysoberyl, and Vietnamese Spinel. Additionally, I have exciting projects for the brand and aspire to see SONYA K. represented on platforms like NET-A-PORTER and Moda Operandi.

Our readers love to travel; what destination is at the top of your bucket list?

Outside of gemstone travels, I’d love to visit Mauritius, Costa Rica, and the Amalfi coast for pleasure in the near future.

When lacking motivation, what’s your go-to quote?

I don’t lack motivation; if anything, I struggle with controlling the urge to bring all my ideas to life simultaneously.

A lesson I’ve learned since starting my brand is that hard work yields rewards. Taking a leap of faith resulted in a radical career change, and seven months after launching, we had our first trunk show at Nordstrom flagship. In November 2021, we released our holiday capsule, “Passion & Strength,” during a month-long trunk show at Bergdorf Goodman, reinforcing that passion shows in what you do.

Welcome to the extraordinary world of Lachesis London, where luxury is not just a statement but a testament to the power of conscious, purpose-driven fashion…

The story behind Lachesis London is truly intriguing. What was the initial inspiration that led to the creation of Lachesis London?

The vision behind Lachesis London was to redefine luxury fashion, breaking away from the conventional high price points and mainstream brands. We aimed to introduce a concept where luxury could be celebrated in a new way, emphasising handmade products, meticulous craftsmanship, and the use of high-quality materials.

Time, as the most valuable commodity in the modern world, became a focal point for us. We wanted to showcase products where time and care were dedicated to creating beautiful items, where craftsmanship was at the core.

Additionally, we were passionate about integrating environmental and social responsibility into our concept, engaging with suppliers, brands, and charitable projects to make a positive impact.

In your opinion, how has the concept of luxury in fashion evolved over the years, and where does Lachesis London stand in this changing landscape?

The concept of luxury in fashion has undergone significant evolution. Traditionally associated with exclusivity and high price points, luxury now encompasses elements like sustainability, inclusivity, and design innovation.

At Lachesis London, we embrace these values while championing craftsmanship, ethical production, and unique designs. Our meticulous selection process ensures we work only with suppliers sharing our values, focusing on fair trade, sustainability, and a clean supply chain. We believe this approach sets us apart in the evolving fashion industry.

The name Lachesis is deeply symbolic for your brand. How does the concept of fate and destiny influence the curation of products at Lachesis London?

The name Lachesis was chosen to emphasize the powerful role fate played in bringing our business to life. It signifies our commitment to shaping our destiny within the fashion industry, weaving a unique narrative in luxury fashion.

In curating our products, we adopt a purposeful and meticulous approach, carefully selecting items that align with our brand’s story as if they were destined to be part of our collection.

Craftsmanship, superior quality, design empowerment, and social and environmental responsibility are integral to Lachesis London. Can you shed light on the process of curating products that align with these values? How do you ensure each product meets these high standards?

Our meticulous curation process involves extensive research to identify brands, artisans, and craftspeople who share our values. We assess and select products that showcase exceptional handcrafted quality.

A stringent due diligence process examines the supplier’s commitment to fair trade, sustainability, and transparency. If a supplier falls short of our high standards, we do not engage with them, emphasizing our unwavering commitment to quality and ethical practices.

Lachesis London collaborates with suppliers committed to Corporate Social Responsibility, philanthropy, and sustainability. Could you share some examples of these collaborations and the positive impact they’ve made on local communities and the environment?

A notable partnership is with Luxury Handbag Designer Zanir Furtado. Their handcrafted bags, made from sustainable full-grain leather, exemplify quality and ethical production. Beyond creating jobs and embracing fair trade, they plant trees for each bag sold, contributing to environmental conservation. Additionally, a percentage of our sales revenue supports two charities in Brazil, furthering our social responsibility initiatives.

In today’s market, how does Lachesis London distinguish itself as a platform for exclusive high-end products?

What unique experiences or offerings set Lachesis London apart for your customers?

Our distinctiveness lies in valuing craftsmanship, celebrating uniqueness, and supporting emerging designers worldwide. Amidst mass-produced fashion, we champion new talent, giving them a platform to showcase their creations.

We maintain exclusivity by carefully selecting a limited number of pieces for each product category, ensuring a streamlined and premium shopping experience. Our commitment to high quality and limited supplier engagement reinforces our dedication to exclusivity.

The broader definition of luxury now encompasses elements like time, craftsmanship, and environmental consciousness. How do you think this expanded notion of luxury influences the fashion industry, and what challenges and opportunities does it present for brands like Lachesis London?

The awareness surrounding concepts like sustainability and craftsmanship has empowered consumers, who increasingly choose brands aligned with their values. This shift challenges the industry to embrace positive changes, fostering innovation and ethical practices.

Lachesis London aims to inspire these changes by championing craftsmanship, supporting new designers, and promoting sustainable luxury. While challenges exist, the opportunity to make a positive contribution to the industry and society is immense.

Lachesis London sources products globally. Could you share intriguing stories about the artisans or craftsmen behind some curated products? How do these cultural influences enrich Lachesis London’s offerings?

One of our suppliers, Catarina Mina, designs handmade crocheted bags, each carrying a unique QR code revealing the artisan’s story. Another captivating product is the Golden Grass Jewelry Collection from Brazil, crafted from the plant “Capim Dourado.”

This sustainable material, available only for a short period annually, is transformed into exquisite bracelets, earrings, and necklaces, showcasing the beauty of cultural diversity and sustainability.

Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability are core to Lachesis London’s values. How do you foresee the future of sustainable luxury in the fashion industry? What changes do you hope to inspire through your brand’s initiatives?

Sustainability must be ingrained in a company’s DNA. Awareness about its impact on our lives and future generations compels consumers to choose ethical brands. Mainstream companies are already taking steps, indicating a positive trend.

Lachesis London hopes to inspire a focus on craftsmanship, supporting new designers, and championing ethical practices. By showcasing the beauty of sustainable luxury, we aim to encourage others to embrace positive changes.

What exciting developments or projects can we expect from Lachesis London in the future? Are there upcoming collections or collaborations that you’re particularly excited about?

Lachesis London has exciting plans ahead! We anticipate expanding to Europe and introducing children and menswear next year. While I can’t reveal many details yet, we have some thrilling collaborations in the pipeline, promising unique and exceptional offerings. Stay tuned for more updates from Lachesis London!

Lastly, what does self-care mean to you, and do you have a go-to quote for motivation when feeling uninspired?

Self-care, to me, involves achieving balance between physical health and mental well-being. Regular exercise, including Pilates and Tennis, coupled with a balanced diet and quality time with family, help me maintain this equilibrium. When lacking motivation, I reflect on the root cause, seeking clarity. While I don’t have a specific quote, understanding the underlying issue often reignites my motivation.

Selecting the perfect gift for the special women in our lives requires thoughtfulness and consideration. Whether it’s for a birthday, anniversary, or just to express appreciation, the right gift can convey sentiments beyond words. As you embark on the quest for the perfect gift, these suggestions below provide a starting point, each embodying the thoughtful gestures that transform a gift into a lasting memory.

Customized Jewelry

Jewelry is meaningful because it is not a gift that will be consumed and disappear fast, such as a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates or a bottle of wine. It’s an actual piece which can be kept and will always be a token of love and gratitude. And the best thing about jewelry is that it is worn, so it is seen very often when compared to other kinds of gifts, even clothing. It’s consistent reminder of the love the person gifting has shown.

When you craft personalized jewelry as a gift, you’re not just inscribing text and symbols on some metal. You are telling your boo, mom, or bff how much they mean to you and memorializing a connection you have with them.

Your loved one will squeal with excitement when they open their present to find such a thoughtful piece. It’ll be one of a kind, just like the person you love.

Kimono Robe

They’re soft. They’re snuggable. They’re convenient and practical. Robes continue to be one of the holiday’s most popular gifts for all these reasons and more. Especially, if you wanna pick it for your wife or girlfriend, pink robe will be the best choice.

Daytime, nighttime, bedtime, bath time. There is always a right time for a soft, cuddly robe – and no better time to give one than during the holidays. Not only will your thoughtful gift surround and soothe skin in coddling fabrics and sensations, it warms when things get chilly, comforts when things feel overwhelming, and serves as an essential everyday piece that instantly makes them feel safe and snug at home. So, if you are looking for a gift they’ll use day in and day out, that makes them feel good all over, both mentally and physically, a robe is the perfect gift. And this is the perfect place to find one.

Subscription Box

Between birthdays, anniversaries and holidays, it’s easy to run out of gift ideas. Don’t throw your hands in the air yet—consider a subscription box. There are boxes for nearly every interest, and your giftee can try a bunch of stuff that would be far too expensive for you to compile yourself. You can buy them for one month, but we think three months makes the perfect gift since they’ll get that warm giddy feeling again and again.

Delving into the realm of subscription boxes unveils a world of endless possibilities for finding that perfect gift for the special woman in your life. Imagine the joy that ensues each month as she eagerly anticipates the arrival of a carefully curated box, designed to cater to her unique interests and passions.

In essence, a subscription box is not just a one-time gift; it is an ongoing expression of care and consideration. As each month unfolds with a new delivery, it serves as a continuous reminder of your thoughtfulness, making it a truly remarkable and personalized present that keeps the excitement alive throughout the year.

Spa Day or Wellness Retreat

Imagine whisking her away to a tranquil local spa or wellness retreat, where the cares of the world dissolve in the soothing ambiance. A day devoted to her rejuvenation begins with a luxurious massage, expertly kneading away tension and stress, fostering a profound sense of relaxation. The therapeutic benefits extend to a rejuvenating facial, cleansing and revitalizing her skin, leaving behind a radiant glow that mirrors the inner calm she experiences.

A full day of spa services takes the experience to new heights, allowing her to immerse herself in a holistic journey of wellness. From soothing aromatherapy sessions to invigorating body scrubs, every treatment is a step towards physical and mental rejuvenation. The tranquil surroundings and expert care create an oasis where she can unwind, refresh, and recharge.

Beyond the immediate physical benefits, a spa day or wellness retreat is an investment in her overall well-being. It acknowledges the importance of self-care and provides her with a serene space to reconnect with herself. This thoughtful gift goes beyond the material realm, offering a memorable experience that lingers in her heart and mind, reminding her of your commitment to her happiness and relaxation.

Luxurious Silk

For over 4,000 years, silk has been a prized possession of royalty, aristocracy and luxury seekers alike. Whether you’re looking for luxury Christmas gifts for him, for her or for your parents, treat your loved one to a little bit of self-care by introducing them to one of our premium silk products.

Silk fabric is known for its shimmering appearance due to the fibres natural prism shape and it doesn’t lose its natural sheen over time, giving your furniture an elegant look to it at all times. Silk is also great at locking in the moisture of your skin, helping to soothe areas of dry skin and manage the appearance of aging.

Your Lozenge Akoya Pearl Collection: A Sweet Inspiration

The Lozenge Akoya Pearl Collection is inspired by the sweet yet powerful essence of diamond-shaped candies. Can you share the story behind how this inspiration translates into your jewelry designs, embodying the strength and independence of women?

The Lozenge Akoya Pearl Collection draws inspiration from diamond-shaped candies, reflecting not just their appearance but also the dual nature of sweetness and healing power. Similar to the women I’ve encountered, these candies embody a duality that is both sweet and powerful. The design incorporates soft curves reminiscent of the candies, symbolizing sweetness, while the structural integrity of the diamond shape represents inherent strength. It’s a delicate balance that mirrors the intricate equilibrium women maintain in their lives.

My mom, in her 60s, served as a significant inspiration. A specific piece in the collection reflects her ability to transition seamlessly between a sweet, almost innocent demeanor to a powerful, in-control woman. The design incorporates delicate pearls symbolizing sweetness, intricately intertwined with bold, angular elements representing strength. It’s a tribute to her and women like her who effortlessly navigate various aspects of life with grace.

Art Deco Fusion: Timeless Pieces with Vintage Charm

The Art Deco style is a distinctive feature of your designs. How do you blend mechanical lines and modern architectural design aesthetics to create timeless pieces with a vintage charm?

The Art Deco style serves as an endless well of inspiration for my creative process. In my designs, I strive to seamlessly fuse mechanical lines with contemporary architectural aesthetics. The key lies in crafting a unique design language that harmoniously marries mechanical elements with the classic beauty of pearls. For instance, I draw inspiration from iconic buildings in bustling metropolises like New York, merging the power of the urban landscape with an inherent sense of elegance.

In each creation, I place a strong emphasis on maintaining fluid lines and balanced proportions, ensuring that the design retains a modern edge while exuding the rich ambiance of Art Deco. Through meticulously chosen materials and impeccable craftsmanship, my goal is to produce jewelry that is both classic and fashion-forward. It’s a tribute to the brilliance of bygone eras, coupled with a unique interpretation of contemporary aesthetics.

This process goes beyond mere mechanical fusion; it involves a profound understanding and reinterpretation of aesthetic elements. As a result, each piece becomes a one-of-a-kind, personality-infused work of art, conveying a charm that resonates with both the ancient and the modern.

“La Luna”: Capturing the Power and Grace of Femininity

“La Luna” is inspired by the goddess of moonlight, symbolizing the power and grace of femininity. How does this inspiration reflect in the gentle, beautiful, and romantic qualities of your jewelry creations?

“La Luna” draws inspiration from the celestial grace of the moonlight goddess, symbolizing the inherent strength and exquisite elegance of femininity. This inspiration is meticulously woven into the fabric of our jewelry creations, manifesting in the tender, beautiful, and romantic qualities of each piece.

In our design journey, we deliberately chose high-quality “little light bulb” pearls to represent the moon. Whether basking in the brilliance of sunlight or enshrouded in darkness, these pearls exude a steadfast, gentle glow akin to the serene radiance of moonlight. This choice pays homage to the unique luminosity of the moon, embodying the tender, healing, and tranquil qualities epitomized by the moonlight goddess—qualities that coexist with a formidable strength comparable to that of the sun.

Our creations boldly exhibit a strong sense of linearity, yet they unfold in a soft, fluid manner, echoing the tenacity, flow, and graceful beauty intrinsic to feminine strength. We are devoted to celebrating the multifaceted nature of women, offering jewelry that resonates on a profound emotional and aesthetic level. Each piece is a unique narrative, blending the mystical power of the moon, delivering not just jewelry but a tribute to the power and beauty of womankind.

Vintage Ornamentation Meets Architectural Aesthetics

Your brand seamlessly blends vintage ornamentation with architectural aesthetics. Can you elaborate on how this fusion results in jewelry pieces that are both exquisite and striking, capable of elevating any look instantly?

Our brand’s aesthetic prowess lies in adeptly extracting the most classic and representative elements of classical decorative arts. Classical decorative elements endow our pieces with timeless charm and exquisite details, while clean lines, geometric shapes, and structural elements influenced by iconic architecture infuse a sense of modernity and avant-garde flair. The harmonious fusion of these two design elements ensures that each piece strikes a perfect balance—melding the old with the new, classical with contemporary.

Our jewelry collections are a series of meticulously crafted and visually arresting masterpieces. The amalgamation of classical and architectural elements ensures that each piece becomes a captivating topic, capable of instantly elevating any look. Whether savoring the intricate details reminiscent of bygone eras or embracing bold geometric lines inspired by modern architecture, our jewelry stands as a distinguished representative of individuality and refined taste.

This skillful amalgamation transcends trends, endowing our pieces with timeless elegance and versatility. Whether paired with casual attire or formal wear, our jewelry effortlessly enhances the overall aesthetic, presenting a bold and enduring statement.

Meticulous Material Selection: Crafting Laluna’s Mystical Radiance

Your meticulous selection of materials and gemstones is evident in the exceptional quality of Laluna Jewellery. Can you share the process behind choosing premium Akoya pearls and moonstones, and how they contribute to the mystical radiance of your pieces?

For our Akoya pearls, we embark on a thorough selection process that begins with sourcing from reputable suppliers known for their commitment to quality. Each pearl undergoes a meticulous examination, considering factors such as luster, surface quality, size, shape, and color. We prioritize pearls with a brilliant luster and a smooth, flawless surface to ensure that they meet our stringent standards.

Moonstones, known for their enchanting play-of-color, are chosen with equal care. We focus on sourcing high-quality moonstones with a captivating adularescence—the ethereal glow that appears to move across the surface as the gem is viewed from different angles. This mesmerizing phenomenon adds a mystical and otherworldly quality to our pieces.

The synergy between premium Akoya pearls and moonstones is a carefully curated aspect of our design process. Each gem is strategically placed to complement and enhance the unique qualities of the other. The radiant glow of Akoya pearls, with their subtle iridescence, harmonizes with the ethereal shimmer of moonstones, creating a captivating interplay of light and shadow.

Our dedication to using only the finest materials ensures that Laluna Jewellery exudes unparalleled quality and radiance. The combination of premium Akoya pearls and moonstones not only contributes to the aesthetic allure of our pieces but also adds a touch of mystique, making each creation a testament to the enchanting beauty found in nature’s treasures.

Creating jewelry has always been a powerful medium for conveying memories and emotions. Throughout the process of crafting jewelry, I’ve often encountered instances where the final piece deviates significantly from the initial expectations, sometimes even embracing unexpected twists. Yet, it is precisely these unique surprises that transform ordinary pieces into special moments, infusing them with additional meaning.

In our creations, we seamlessly weave in numerous emotional resonances and stories, expressing a deep appreciation for the present and hopeful anticipation for the future. Each piece of jewelry is more than a mere item; it encapsulates a story filled with memories and emotions, becoming a witness to those special moments. Dream Collaborations and Innovative Designs

Collaborations often bring unique perspectives and creativity. Are there any dream collaborations you envision for Laluna Jewellery, and what kind of innovative designs do you hope to explore through such partnerships?

I actually aspire to collaborate with a renowned Michelin-starred chef. The meticulous search for premium ingredients, the exploration of flavors that evoke distinct memories, and the dedication to crafting delicious dishes through intricate processes remarkably parallel the journey of jewelry design and creation. Diners at the restaurant also seek to celebrate special moments through their meals, and I hope to extend the longevity of these moments through the artistry of jewelry.

Sentimental Value: Creating Cherished Mementos

Jewellery often holds sentimental value for individuals. Can you share a heartwarming customer story where your creation became a cherished memento, making a significant impact on someone’s life?

This is a heartwarming story! Grateful to the customer for sharing, we crafted a piece of jewelry to celebrate his and his partner’s decade-long journey. While listening to their narrative, I particularly noted an amusing moment.

During a restaurant gathering, an unexpected incident occurred – a bowl of soup spilled onto the table and clothes. Instead of blaming him, his partner burst into laughter, turning what seemed like a messy situation into a warm and adorable moment. From that point on, the piece of clothing bore a permanent yellow mark, becoming an everlasting testament to their love. To recreate this special moment, I chose to create a brooch resembling the spilled soup, allowing them to carry the warmth and laughter, experiencing that unique moment from their ten years of shared affection.
