I have an admission to make, I love this time of year, spring has well and truly sprung and the blossoms are in full bloom. From the incredible display of colours in the parks to the unexpected delight of wandering into a side road to be greeted by rows of pink and white beautiful petals cascading down from blossom laden branches, London has never looked more beautiful.

These incredible signs of spring are of course not limited to the UK but seen all over the world, most famously in Japan where Sakura or cherry blossoms are celebrated with abandon. From Sakura festivals (Hanami) in the street to every type of blossom flavoured items from pastries to tea, Sakura fever takes over. The blossoms are symbolic of fleeting beauty as they only bloom for such a limited time, this acknowledgement that nothing lasts forever has been celebrated for thousands of years and London is now also in the grip of Sakura fever. So if you are a cherry blossom lover, give these limited edition events a try this spring.
